Ok guys this is my 4th XR10 project and ultimatly is not for me. Its being built as a specked up basic entry level crawler for a newbie to the Pro comps, for them to fine tune the details to their desire in; The gears, bearings and gearbox upgrades, alloy screws/nuts etc and any additional bling and paint of their own choice for the pannels.
No 1. 1st is My current Pro BWD Wedge and as i drive for Don the rest have no real use as currently i am happy with my rig and developing it as far as i can and hopefully with some new additions from Don i will take it further in 2013.
No 2. Was a Stocker i built that was from a mix of brand new mostly and some of my older parts that had little use that was sold onto someone in here that has used it for their own devices.
No 3. Was a Viper XR10 that saw some occasional use but as my main comp rig was driving so well it was eventually parted out and some bits sold to others and some bits kept.
No 4. This is my current build and it may infact in time as it gets developped by its new owner be more capable than my own comp rig.
Current specs are as follows;
Chaotic Crawller CF Switch Chassis
Chaotic Crawller CF Switch Topper
Alloy screws through the Chassis and Topper
Unpainted Panels
Chaotic Crawler TI links
Traxxas Rod Ends
Traxxas Alloy balls enough for the upper and lower links
Hitec 7955TG Servo
VP SLW 4 0.5" wheels
Shaved HB Sedona's
Old Style Cut and Narrowed CI Duel Stage Foams
Brand new HH BRXL De cased and De heat Sinked
Punk Dig
Currently KO Pro Po 3 CH TX/RX
CC Bec 10A
Most likely 35T HH Pro Hand Wounds
Stock XR Shocks Internally Limited by about 10mm
Losi Gold springs
One Piece Straight Steering link Mod done
Front Mounted Battery plate.
HR "C's"
18g motor wire
VP Steering Knuckles
This is essentially what its being built too. However some of the equipment is not required by the owner. So some of it may be changed for his needs as he has some gear already and some i need inplace for testing all works ok before sale.
As it stands now less motors and battery its around 1.6kg with the alloy balls still to be installed so is weighed with no motors, battery and with steel rod end balls installed.
As no motors installed and no painted pannels is not much to see. When the new owner is ready ill leave it up to them to reveal their identity as they want to remain quiet currently as it is their new toy ultimatly. So i wont confirm or deny who he or she is as only a few people know the details. When motors are installed i will post some pics.
