Hey guys, I have on old Venom Creeper that's still kickin. Figured I'd post here as I'm sure the Venom forum is dead.

I want to overdrive the front. Does anyone know if gear sets from other makes/models will fit these axles?

If not, I assume I'm stuck with doing an axle swap. If that's the case, what is your recommended OEM axle to take their place? I would need two steer axles, triangulated 4 link with axle mounted servos. If I'm going this far, I'd entertain swapping in portals as well if that gives me more options.

AFAIK the only option that comes with a 4WS from the drop would be a set of Capra axles which also only come in portal variety.

Swap in an Element transmission for 12% OD. Should be a fairly simple swap.

If you're set on axles, the stock gears are 13/39 IIRC for a 3.0 ratio. Swapping in an Element Enduro or Axial AR44 axle in the rear would be a 3.75 ratio for a 25% front overdrive. Just be sure the ring and pinion match the front as far as rotation direction.

Oh man I didn't realize Element had OD in the trans. That would be a simple (and fairly cheap) solution. I haven't had any reliability issues with the venom axles so far and they're already outfitted how I like so I may as well keep them.

The venom trans is quite a bit different than the Element, but not necessarily in a good way. Going to a flat skid and a modern trans would be a nice upgrade.

I'll ponder on it a bit and see what I decide when the time comes to take action. Good to know I have some options. Thanks for the quick replies!
