OS's Junkyard NB JK

No sir. Scraped off the black mystery stuff and sanded in a few spots, then just scuffed the red paint with a green scrub pad. The Krylon blue took 4 coats to cover completely.

Broke the budget and picked up a rear bumper...was listed for the "Axial JK and the TRX-4" - I'm guessing the TRX is quite a bit wider. Not sure if I want to somehow narrow it down or pick up something else. Really like the bumper, leaning towards a narrowing it down.

Had to put it all together just to see how it looks. I like it!!

Getting the body parts done...Lights, racks, flares, oh my! Kinda stuck now until my paint get here - had to order some new testors as my old stuff suddenly dried up. Strange, had a bunch of bottles go at once. Anyhow, got a fresh batch being trucked in..

Flares on and my first ever light bar...only runs of 6v but man, this things is bright!!

Obligatory roof rack - I was looking for something somewhat small so it could stay in place while I take the back of the body off. This just barely fit. I wouldn't normally buy it since PL charges an arm and a leg for what is basically a plastic molded part, but I found it at a good price, it's light (I'm way overweight already) and it was the perfect size.

Back pops right off. Perfect!

All mounted up...

Spring...Lol. Ripped my Achilles off my heel, won't even be walking until December. By then, it's snow season. I'm sure I'll have some mediocre backyard outdoor pics in a month or two.

Wire up some lights...nothing fancy. Used about a ton of hot glue in the front buckets. If they fall out, I'll swap in some Axials, which is what I should have done in the first place, but oh well.

Light bar is on a seperate switch so I can leave it off during day runs. I'll flash burn some squirrel retinas if I run this all day.

As anyone who's built a NB JK knows, the stock chassis is somewhat short. Digging around, I found the SCX10II's rear bumper has kind of an extension built into it. Perfect!

This is the rear bumper before...Not exactly ideal.

With a HR extension bolted in place...much better!

Until I figure what I'm doing with the rear bumper, I put an Axial JK bumper on. Sliced off the plastic tire rack, and cut and shortened the posts. Nice and clean and rigidly mounted though it's a little plain back there. Not sure if I want to cut up my nice aluminum bumper or not.

Looking good! "thumbsup"

I really like that roof rack and I typically don't like them at all.

The light bar looks like my OnetoomanyRCs light bar that I have on my Bomber.

Didn't even get it on the trail yet, but knew some changes had to be made. Front shocks were just not up to the task of holding up this tank. Found some old shocks in my parts bin and swapped them over. I had to dig around to find springs strong enough to support the front.

Rear shocks swapped to match.

Tried out some shiny wheels to try and offset all the black. Meh, think I liked the black wheels better.
