Brandon, it looks great. Just wondering if you think it would be possible to fit the FXR with the wiring in the receiver tray? I know it fits without the wiring and using a micro spektrum receiver.

It might be possible. Although I could not. I have the Futaba 4ch RX in there along with a Castle BEC and all the excess wiring from the esc and winch stuffed in there. Tight fit for sure!

OK!!! You guys are driving me nuts with all these awesome builds. I am SOOOO torn on what should be my first rig, and you are not helping at all. First, I wanted to get the AX10 kit, cause I love kits. Then I wanted to get a Losi MRC, cause I could tweak and upgrade for the same price as the AX10 stock. Then I saw the new un-released Losi Comp Crawler. That is one hawt truck. Now I see this outstanding scaler and my head is about to explode. Has anyone figured out how to get $400 to multiply so I can get all 4?!?;-)

Anything Axial makes it top notch and you cant go wrong. Plus if you pick up a AX10 or SCX10 you could change your mind and switch between a comp rig and scaler down the road.

As a representative of Axial I can not say I approve or disapprove of any ESC mounting spot other than what is recommended in the directions...

But otherwise... I like it. Plenty of airflow. "thumbsup"

You should try it! I will keep coming up with great ideas for ya, hopefully Axial can incorporate them into their next kit :ror::ror:

brandon your running a 27turn right? well i just went from the 35 like u told me to get to a 27 turn and woa it wheelies now im not sure how it will handel on the rocks but its got some balls now figured id let u know that im ready to run ne time u are

Nope its a 21t single Kyosho Mag Mayhem. Its a 550 sized motor if I remember correctly. Longer can and armature. Tons of torque. And probably not nearly as fast as the 27t you are running. I dont have any issues crawling with it "thumbsup"

came in yesterday had it built by 730 ish then slapped the 27 turn in it today it actually climbs rather well but i need to tighten up the slipper some and get a better radio system for it. seems to work great, my only prob is i mounted the body .25 of an inch to far back so the front tires rub ill see if i can fit it some how >_<

I heard the shock hoops work fine like that as long as you heat up the body posts and bend them so they point straight up. :lmao:

I have mine about 3/4 of the way built, just trying to decide on the body and all the detail crap. Great build, and definitely a cool rig.

On electronics, I grabbed the waterproof esc from my Slash and has a brand new slash motor laying about, probably will be too fast a motor, but at least its all waterproof. I will be ShooGooing up the openings on a Lipo to make the thing full water ready.

Bring on the scale class in NorCal, maybe I will fair better in that :roll:

Thanks Ted. Waterproofing is something that I really want to do on this rig as well. A scale class for Nor-Cal is definitely something that needs to happen "thumbsup"

Few updates for today. (If anyone wants to see a few pics of the rig on the rocks look around at some of RCC's new features... ;-))

I shortened the front of the frame slightly and mounted the Pro-Line bumper closer to the body off the second frame brace.
