New Pro-line BFG KR2

I like them im really curious to see someone compare the two. I know the Axial has smaller lugs I assume that will be the case in 1.9 also when they release their 1.9.

I'm happy that pl released these tires. Like the aesthetics.

Just got my 2.2s in. Larger lugs than rr10 rtr tires and slightly wider. Must say visually I like the axial a better. The lug size and the rim around bead a little unattractive.

Proline on the left, axial rr10 rtr on right. 2.2 axial krawlers provided for reference.

Yeah, surprising how different they look. Gotta say, I don't like that flat spot next to the bead either on the PL. Were they hard to mount on those wheels? What are they, LURC?

Actually mounted up very easily and yes, LockedUpRC. The ugly ring actually helped with the mounting and honestly, you hardly notice once they're mounted and you step back. I do like the smaller blocks on the Axial though. I think they look more scale and they are deeper, I would think they would dig better.

The Pro-Line BF Goodrich looks like the off-road truck tire, the Axial BF Goodrich looks more like BF Goorich's UTV tire. But lug size and spacing will change a little between 1:1 tire sizes of the same model and brand, so a 1/10 tire will not look identical to every size tire in that particular 1:1 model.

That's the tire/bead/rim protector, it's there to help protect the bead and rim if/when the tires get flat against a hard surface, between a couple of rocks, stuck in narrow rut, scrapes against a curb/drain/gutter (street hazards) etc..

Tire Rack has more details if you're interested.

Note the damage to the tire, but the wheel was unscathed.

Dont know about Maxxis, but BFG does have race tires at half tread depth when new. Mostly for performance reasons but usually they are not raced on for long before being changed.

Just call the Pro LIne a 50% tire i guess. Should be a decent u4 tire/trailing tire but I'm curious about rock crawling performance.

Yup, I just scooped up the last two pairs of 1.9's on proline's website.

Actually there's still at least four pair that can be added to the cart, I just used the cart system on two separate computers with separate user names (one was my brothers) and was able to add two pair to each cart. Sometimes Pro-Line will limit sales to keep someone from buying all they have and depleting stock.

Some companies have real time stock status. Try putting them in your cart again, it may let you buy another pair or two.
