I just found this on the Holmes Hobbies website :
Puller Pro R 540-L Rock Crawler Motor
Product SKU: PPR
High Power, High Torque, High Performance, Smooth Startup!
When you want efficient power in a rock crawler motor, the Puller Pro delivers the excessive force you desire!
The Pro R 540-L is a rock race honed variation with higher quality materials for less heat, more torque, and less brake fade. It retains the best low speed control and throttle feel in the industry, giving you an edge whether in the rocks or on the straights.
Designed for dominating 1/10th scale U4, rock racing, endurance, G6, trail adventure, and rock crawler situations. Installs into Axial Yeti & Bomber, Losi Rock Rey, Traxxas TRX-4, and similar vehicles. Also makes 4x4 stampedes an airplane. Recommended battery 2s or 3s lipo, 3800mah 35c or greater. Recommended ESC 1/10th or 1/8th scale suitable for 4x4 vehicles.

Is it me or it's a new motor in the lineup and John has been quiet about it ?

It looks awesome, anyone tried it yet ?

I was pretty set on staying brushed and going for a HH Crawlmaster PRO 550 but this brushless setup is tempting...

Definitely seems aimed at the U4 crowd. 4100kv seems a little overkill in a crawling specific rigs. But you'd definitely have all the power you could ever want at the tip of your finger. Sounds like a great motor aimed to compete more with the higher kv Tekin and Castle stuff that's been coming out. Might need one of these in a truck for some testing.

Is this the one John mentioned in another thread? If so its a limited run.

I put a thread in the new product section, but didn't create a hard sale thread for the Puller Pro R.

It is a limited run of motors, we won't be stocking this variation all the time like normal products. While it was forged in the pits of U4 races using higher quality materials, it pulls from the regular Puller Pro 540 design and startup smoothness. Meant to take the hardest conditions and put down a lot of power when wanted, but also be geared down enough to use in a "hot" crawler on 3s or 2s.

Already released, might be sold out. We should take em off the site now I suppose. Thanks for the heads up!

edit, looks like we may have some 11t crawlmaster type left.

It was sold out this morning I thought, now its showing 13T available. Would these be 11T limited edition instead?

So for a more casual bomber with a mix of trail, rocks and open ground you still recommend the puller pro standard?

Im taking notes for later in the life of my bomber, if my wife learns about 300$us for "another" motor I will sleep on the couch [emoji41]. Your crawlmaster is still next on my list!

If you need speed the 3500, more realistic crawling, 2700 ..... 3s
My 3500 standard has more power than I need, but what a fun motor!
I’ve geared waaayy down and wheelspeed is off the Wall

Hang up and Drive

This motor replaced my HolmesHobbies revolver 2000kv in my ascender. I don’t need the speed, but it is fun, and I had to try it somewhere. first time I’ve been able to do donuts with my ascender.
