3s capable seems odd. isn't their new esc only 2s capable?

That's correct, but the Axial guys are here and even though we're thankful to have Lipo compatability with the new ESC, I'm sure they sensed the dissapointment among the RCC community that it was not 3s friendly.

I'm too lazy to read thru this 34 page thread to find a little bit of useful info :flipoff:. Just wanted to say I was down at KOH last month and ran into the axial guys, who were packing around a couple of these new little rigs. One looked like it just got built, the other one was covered in dust:ror:. Really cool tho, axles look like d44's with a dynatrac diff cover or something. They said they have open diffs-? and I think were going to come 3 cell lipo capable? Pretty much a full interior and a nearly exact knockoff of Jake's sweet 1:1 rig

This is great news! Thanks for the update Tim"thumbsup"
I might have to hit you guys up in Winnemucca, my daughter just moved up there with her husband. might have to make a visit & crawl

HI Duane! Come over & let's crawl!!!"thumbsup"Me and Cass
haven't came over to a comp for a long time now:cry:. I 've been workin on the crawlers tho & wanting to crawl. Got a honcho recently too, wanting to take it to a g6:mrgreen:.
K sorry about highjacking this thread for a minute-not that it matters any more:flipoff:. I should have paid a little more attention at koh, but I thot we'd run into the axial guys again. Too much going on down there, so that didn't happen tho. The axles were 1-piece with a diff cover just like 1:1. Both diffs offset to 1 side. Sweet"thumbsup". They look more scale than an scx 10, except for the 2.2 wheels. I think they said they may come with functional lights & 2.4 radio. It also seemed like the motor was mounted under the hood but I don't remember for sure. I figured there'd be info out about the car by now so I didn't pay that much attention, we b.s.ed about past comps, koh, motorcycles and other stuff too, then ran into more people to talk to- Big Joe, Jake, vendor guys etc

hey tim, sad to not ssee ya guy's in awhile!

rattle your brain a bit more, i'm sure you'll come up with some more info, i know the attention to detail's ya have so i'm sure ya can remember more!
thanks for the info so far as well, at least now 690 posts in we get a bit more info!

big joe i know you saw it, what ya have for us????:flipoff:

So there's 690 posts and no good specs or details? Jeez. I will sleep on it and see if I remember any more details haha. I want to start coming back over to some recon comps-regular and g6 both:mrgreen:. Hope to see you guys in the next month or 2

Just put name in for one of 4 of these shipping into my LHS in the next few weeks (hopefully), supplier says end of may "thumbsup" fingers crossed.

Not that I like Traxxas. But I like the fact that everything they sell is waterproof. If the new Axial is waterproof this would make for a fantastic bashing rig.

Love the muddy pics.. to bad it was a shot of the front instead of just hte profile..
I really wish that there was some more official info on it from Axial.. Not ready to preorder and slap down a bunch of cash based on two profile (side) pictures..
However that being said.. Axial makes some awsome stuff.. and I cant wait to see more of this rig...

id just about bet, that if there was a front shot of this rig posted (and it was a new axle) the pre order sales would go through the roof!

I'm sure Axial will have no problems selling all of the first batch right away. Remember Axial isn't the one pushing pre-orders. It's just all the vendors trying to keep up with each other and not lose sales.

Yes, a better pic and more info will sell the first batch out even quicker but that likely isn't much of a concern at this point.
