Bought a tiny Traxxas TRX4M Bronco turk when they firs released and am very impressed with the great looking hardbody and it's crawlability! I love red, but went with blue for a change, might pickup a second Bronco body in red to swap back and forth.

Mods done one at a time to verify results.

Wheel hubs, 7mm hex (steel) (4)/ axle pins (8) #9750A

Started with Traxxas Wheels, 1.0", Method Race Wheels® 105 Beadlock (black, beadlock) painted gold with some Tamiya paint, but stock tires are not as sticky as they ought to be and these wheels were kinda light weight (brass rings were too much rotational weight) so I replaced the wheels and tires with Injora stamped steel whitespokes.

INJORA 1.0" Negative Offset 3.78mm Deep Dish Stamped Steel Wheel Rims for 1/24 RC Crawlers (4) (W1004) just the right bit of offset, looks great so I bought couple sets to play with!

INJORA 1.0" 58*20mm All Terrain Crawl Master Tires for 1/24 RC Crawlers (4) (T1008) The TIRES I'm currently using, perfect balance of height and LCG!
https://www.injora.com/products/4pc...de-for-1-24-rc-crawler?variant=40213035188272

INJORA 1.0" 56*22mm S5 Soft Rubber Rock Terrain Tires for 1/24 RC Crawlers (4) (T1005) Bought these TIRES to play with since I love TSL Super Swampers, but may not run these.
https://www.injora.com/products/inj...el-tires-56-22mm-rock-terrain-for-axial-scx24

Stuffed the tires with some LGRP (Little Guy Racing Parts) foams
1.0" TIRE FOAM REPLACEMENT
https://littleguyracingparts.com/co...-tire-foam-replacement?variant=44823870800184

Couldn't find any good quality plastic replacement bumpers, so I trimmed mine up for more approach and departure angles, reinforced the front with ShoeGoo on the inside after trimming it. E6000 tacked the stock fender flares and running boards to the body as they sometimes popped out of place on hard rollovers. Trimmed them up for little more tire clearance during flex. Removed the faux spare tire and rear mount, made a rectangular black kydex plate to replace it that is captured by the four tiny spare tire carrier screws.

As she currently sits:

Pitchers won't upload atm for whatever reason...hmmmmm....

Looks like a lot of good stuff going into the lil' Bronco.

Looking forward to seeing the pics! Some of these upgrade items I've been debating on buying for my Bronco.

Sounds like a really nice build!! I can't wait to see the pics.

I did some trimming on my front bumper too for a little better approach angle and a nice aggressive look. I removed the leds from the front bumper when I installed the pro scale light kit so I decided to trim them right out since they weren't being used anyway.

I also can’t wait to see the pictures Nate. I’ve been in my own world enjoying my ascenders with my kids for the last few years. Stopped by the hobby store to get a few static kits for my dads birthday and there was the k10 high trail sitting on the counter. Had to leave with it. Already did the crawler gears, and have the under drive gears on their way to help with the torque twist. I’m already thinking of ways to lower this thing to help with cog. Keep us updated!

Ben

Thanks guys, been busy with work, life and many projects! Very fun little turks the TRX4M are, here's some pics finally! Before any bumper or fender flare trimming (I'l get some pics of that later), stock tires on Traxxas plastic beadlocks that I painted with Tamiya acrylic paint, I'd use the TS spray next time. Spray a bit into the can cap and then brush it on, worked great on my X-Maxx! Other wheels/tires were loaners that we tried out, Injora stamped steel beadlocks 1.0" Negative Offset 3.78mm Deep Dish Stamped Steel Wheel Rims (W1004) https://www.injora.com/products/4pc...ped-steel-beadlock-wheel-rims-for-axial-scx24 Worked so well that I bought my own set, they do rub a little during flex but not straight up compression, Dremel the inside of the flares and helps out.

with 1.0" 58*20mm All Terrain Crawl Master Tires (T1008) running slightly taller foams from their 1.0" 61*21mm Super Soft All Terrain Tires (T1009)

Brian, Thanks really enjoy your Defender thread here too! Any questions on the upgrades just ask.

Jim, Thanks your bumper trim pics looks similar to mine, helps out a lot!

Ben, that K10 High Trail 4M is sweet, I think you'll enjoy it!

Mopics, you can see fender flare trim and initial front bumper cuts.

Some giant moth-like insects that fly like hummingbirds.

Tire with the foams I used.

Got some more mods including weight management, need to take pictures

You cutting skills are much better than mine. Everytiime I try cutting foams they end up looking like it was done with a weed wackier.

Thanks but I didn't cut those, they are from left to right;
1.0" 58*20mm All Terrain Crawl Master Tires (T100 running slightly taller foams from their 1.0" 61*21mm Super Soft All Terrain Tires (T1009) assembled on Injora stamped steel beadlocks 1.0" Negative Offset 3.78mm Deep Dish Stamped Steel Wheel Rims (W1004),
These taller foams from the 3mm taller Injora tires,
lastly on the right, the stock foams from the Injora 58mm tall tires that I mounted up.
Regardless, if they don't look quite perfect run em anyways, they should work fine. :)
