My thoughts on the Vanquish shock adjuster

I had one and loved it, now my buddy runs it and he loves it. Seems like everyone complaining about them has them installed wrong. If it hits your cage then you need to raises up you cage on the body posts. if your shocks are bottoming out then you most likely have bent front A-Arm screws and or binding A-Arms which is pretty normal for the yetis. RPM makes new Front A-Arms that are a night and day difference and once i replaced the bent front screws i gained probably 10-20% more A-Arm travel.

With the proper shock position and adjustment (oil too) and fully functioning A-Arms you should have more A-Arm travel then Shock available (with the stock shocks).

I am now running the Pro-Line Powerstroke shocks and they are alot bigger then stock and i removed my VP shock adjuster. With my New front end, all VP. I have the Knuckles, Casters, Steering links, Steering Rack (very important), RPM A-Arms, New Pins, VP Hexes, Axial HD Diff outputs, VP bumper, and VP front tower (the full tower/ Shock mount) my front end A-Arms are still limited by the shock which are alot bigger then stock.

I gave it a try and must say that high speed handling is improved vith shock adjuster. It is definitely good for going fast and maybe for racing. If you bash hard and do lot of high jumping, then longer suspension travel without adjuster would be better IMO.

Agreed. If you intend to jump a lot then this isn't for you. If you race or crawl then this is a good piece of equipment. I like mine a lot as it does help significantly with handling and I don't intend to take this investment off any super man jumps.:lmao:

I purchased one and I don't like it. I've also tried it upside down, right side up, and I've even tried different shocks. I went from stock shocks, Pro-Lines and G-made. The stock shocks and Pro-Lines had to be reduced. The G-made worked the best but they all bottomed out. It looks awesome and does give additional ground clearance, but that's about it. I'm sure they'd work well with a real Rock Crawler, but not for my Yeti Rock Racer. I've had it for two months and I'm giving up on it. I tried.... :)

What is it that you don't like about it? The only drawback I see is the bottoming out of the shocks. The chassis doesn't slap, it drives better at both speed and course. Whats going to happen from the bottoming out unless you are doing some huge jumping. Its just going to hit the rubber stopper that protects the shock on bottom out and put some minor pressure on other things like the arms and I have replaced those with RPM so they have a lifetime warranty. I think you cant have you cake and eat it too. If you aren't allowed to curse here how are you allowed to give the finger?? :flipoff:

I love mine for slow speed, much improved clearance and the angle lets me approach and climb easier..... No it's not a real crawler, but works mighty fine
