my new scout ascent

"i dont like working on this size"
I agree my hands and eyes don't really like the smaller nuts and screws. They seem to drop or just fall totally out of sight.

i took the springs out and went full droop i think it looks alot better lowered down alittle
and i like how the full droop setup feels
after i removed the springs i crawled around inside for a few minutes and put it away

Happy Birthday, today or past! I can see it looking better with the droop setup and portals still give you that bit of extra height. What about a pen spring mod on the outside shock shaft for just a bit of rebound.

thanks i run most of my rigs in full droop and usually with out shock oil just a dab of greese to keeps them lubed up

i needed some clearance for the 1.3s there alot taller and wider so i put the springs back in and did some minimum trimming the tires still rub but not to bad
and i finnaly got it out on the ricks and its pretty darn capable but has a tendency to back flip
i ended up moving the battery it fits perfectly in front of the shock towers on the little tray between the shock towers and then moved the esc down to the battery tray im hoping redistributeing the weight it already has helps it climb

the extra wide tires will help with the higher center of gravity of the battery being mounted slightly higher in the chassis that and the fact the front wheels are brass and the rears are aluminum
