Hey guys! I'm new here. I have been wanting a crawler for the longest. I decided to turn my t-maxx into one since i don't mess with it much any more. I'm going to use this thread for my build up. I'll be posting pic as I go along that way I can get some feedback from you guys. All help is welcome.

Currently I have taken the T-maxx apart and now I'll be getting the axles built for crawling.

here are my two buckets with all the maxx stuff I have.

welcome to the forum, Its cool seeing anothe maxx build going on, havent seen one in a while; Just ask for any help needed

I'm thinking of trying my hand at making a tube chassis. Or I may pay for one. I'm not sure yet. I've been reading all the maxx threads I can as so to get as much info as I can before I start. This weekend i'll start with the axles and go from there.

Have lots of fun with the engineering! I've been having a great time with my torsion maxx build even though I haven't updated my thread or taken any pics in a long time.

Your bucket of parts looks about like what I have. . .leftover after building my crawler. :)

You gonna put the wing on it? :)

yeah I figured the wing would help with the high speed runs! lol

I started laying out parts to see what I can use. I have collect a buncho stuff over the years and half of it I don't know where it came from. I have a revo tranny I thought I might try. I'm also thinking of just going with an ax10 tranny. First I'll do the axles and then make the tube chassis. Oh yeah, Have I said that I have never done this before? I have spend god knows how many hours reading thread after thread and studying the pictures you guys have posted. Oh yeah, i have been using the search button. lol The computer kinda went haywire the other day and had to reformat but once I get some more progress I'll post some more pictures.

going to be electric. I got the arms together. I'm using revo uppers and t-maxx lowers. i didn'tlikethe bulkiness of the t-maxx uppers. i think the revo ones look better. I'm wondering if some way I can incorporate the revo rockers too. I'm at work right now. I'll post pics of the arms when I get home.

I don't think this is gonna work. I'm gonna do the hybrid arms thing with the washers and tubing. I don't wanna do the brace thing because I don't like the look of the bulky arms. I'm off work for the next two days so I'm gonna hit up the hardware store and parts store to get brake line and stuff I need. I worked on the front for a while and this what I have so far.
