This is the first RC truck I've ever built.
I started with a SCX-10 Honcho, cut down the rear links to shorten the wheel base, bought a shorter drive shaft, moved the rear shock mounts forward. I had to relocate the electronics to clear the body because I wanted to keep the body low to line up with bumpers. I put a lift kit in it to regain my height. Painted it myself first time for that also. 4 channel RC4WD radio and reciever to operate the winch. Working L.E.D.s in the body and bumpers. Billet transfer case, aluminum 4 links, water proof servo, water proofed electronics, steel drive shafts, stock motor, aluminum wheels, and 1.9 mud slingers. Still have more to do I am going to put tail pipes on it, clevises on the rear bumper, and maybe nerf bars.

Tell me what you think so far.

I liked the price and the set up for operating the winch but i liked the stock radio better for controlling the truck. or maybe I can't set it up right.

Yea, I like it so far. I just got it like two weeks ago, all I had to do is reverse the throttle and steering on the transmitter.

Had to get mine for the winch didn't like the idea of the key fob controller. Can't keep my throttle trim set it resets after I turn off the controller

Not sure why that is, I haven't had a problem with my settings resetting.

Used 5/16 brake line for pipe and 3/8 brake line for the tip and polished it.
Should I do Duals or single?

I merged your two threads because there is zero reason to have two for the same thing.

Someone interested in 1.9 builds look in one place, and someone interested in SCX10 chassis look in another, that's one more reason then zero.
