My first ever build 1980 K5 Blazer

Someone interested in 1.9 builds look in one place, and someone interested in SCX10 chassis look in another, that's one more reason then zero.

:ror:

Fine, but we haven't done it that way in 9 years and we ain't gonna start now.

So for those keeping score at home that's MOD-1
NOOB-0

Sicc build, I'm gonna have to bite that exhaust idea for my K5!

Really nice looking truck, If anything I'd like to see some more rounder bulging tires on it but its still great that way. Yeah, I'll have to do exhaust too. thanks for the extra task on my list now... lol :)

Thank you. Only certain material brake lines will polish up like that. I used mothers on it

I had that same input on another forum and thought about switching to 1.55s but I like the new school look with 20" wheels and 36" tires something I would drive on the street and play with on the weekends.

Some more pictures
Light wiring and body mounting

Really nice truck. When looking at the pics I sometimes i think it could use larger OD tires, sometimes not. Those SS'ers look mean tho.

Can't go any bigger, not enough clearance without trimming. Drive shafts bind with more suspension lift and bumpers don't line up with more body lift.

I have a couple more pics of the exhaust since it has become a fan favorite.

I love the last pic that your wife sent you...literally made me lol. Any action shots or is it going to sit and be pretty? Did you have to glue the different sizes of brake line or is one line just wedged inside of the other? Looks good.

Thank you
No action shots yet still snow on the ground here.
Clamped smaller line in vise and tapped larger piece over with plastic hammer. Press fit. beveled edges to get it started. Easy ten minute job for the whole thing.
I do need some suggestions on mounting it right now it is zip tied in place.

I'm gonna pick up some brake line tomorrow and try my hand at cranking something out. I think I'm gonna use springs to attach it to the frame. This will allow for some flex while out on the trail.
