My dlux hall style berg rebuild

All the ones coming out now are machine cut. Be patient yours will be there shortly.

I will have it as soon as I get time to get to the post office. For some reason I have to sign for it? Hope I can get there before they send it back! Haha

Man, its Christmas in Sept for you! I have a decent package coming your way today.

Am I going to have a "Super duper, super"?

The wife was giving me a hard time the other day because I get so much shit in the mail. Maybe I should order her something so she feels special?

My package might be for her, in a way :flipoff:

So my pal and the best vendor Erik DLUX hooked me up with some new tubes for my berg. Along with those bada$$ tubes i picked up a set of ax10 8* chubs with xr10 knuckles and some HD300's. Time to finally get some steering. Thanks Erik for everything.

I'm looking forward to seeing more pics of this rig with the new mods. "thumbsup"

So here she is all put together. When putting it together i gave the chubs about 26* of castor. This is a few deg less than i had on my previous set up. The xr knuckle weights i got from dlux are a little lighter than the berg ones. So i dropped a few ounces of weight between the tube and brass. The rig is about 4lb 10oz ready to go.

While i had it apart i was thinking maybe i should move the electronics out of the chassis but first i need to relocate the battery. So here is what i did. I used the shock mount and one of the case bolts to hold this mount in place.

Hopefully i can get some more slot car wire by tuesday and move the electronics then.

That looks great! Does your battery rub the tire? If it does it will rub a hole threw it really fast. After have the Xr I will never run a battery on the axle again. I don't think the payoff is worth the drawbacks. Just keep an eye on it.

Just make sure the tire doesn't rub the screamer. That might cause some conflict, and you might end up in jail

Any chance you could get some side pics of the ride heights, trying to get mine finalized, I think its too high, but I might just have something else off.

I won't be around a computer for a few days to post pics but here are some measurements of my belly clearence.

Ride height 2 1/2" front and 2 3/4 rear
Full up 3 1/2" front and 3 5/8 rear
Fully compressed 2" front and 2 1/4 rear

Hope this helps for now. Thanks for looking.
