My dlux hall style berg rebuild

You will love these"thumbsup" Great build I've been eye balling it:mrgreen:
Later,
Farmer

Thanks Farmer for eyeballing the thread. Iv been having some fun in the garage making some stuff for these sweet shock bodies. Here is a picture of the preload collars i made from some 6061 i had laying around.

and here is a shot of it installed.

after putting a rod end on the shock shaft i noticed they were way shorter than my big boars are. So i guess i need something to extend the length a bit.

Some LCC rod ends from the upper links should do the trick. "thumbsup"

Thanks Jeremy ill give that a try if these dont work. I made these extender things so they screw onto the shock shaft then the rod end screws onto the other side. I needed to gain around 12mm of length to be where my big boar shocks were.

here it is installed

now i just need to make some gcups for them. ill post a pic of those soon.

Hell yeah they are! Nice work! "thumbsup"

Thanks Jeremy they took a little work but came out sweet.

couldnt you make the shock extenders with spring cups allready built in

I might be able to but if i need to change anything i think it would be easier this way. Once i get everything figured out i may try that. Thanks man.

Now that i have time for an update here are some basic cups i made for now. I have another idea in mind ill try a bit later. I got everything finished up in time to run some gates sat at a local event. Need some more tuning for sure. I am running 25wt fluid with mini T silver springs witch seems a little loose compared to my big boars with 30wt and pink mini t springs. Ill prob step it up to 30 or 35wt and try that.

Holly crap man that clean see what happens when I don't show up to practice in the backyard I miss all this cool stuff your making.

Oh and it looks like you could save some weight I see steel balls in the shock rod end still.

That truck looks great GEO and it has been working great all so.

Iv been wanting to get rid of my rear wheel nuts for some time now cause im tired of 2 different size nuts front to rear. So iv been pondering the idea of some pin on hubs to solve my problem and loose a few grams while im at it. Since i run DLUX rear AL shafts witch are by far the best and lightest shafts out there in my opinion, it was easy to get rid of the threads for the wheel nut by just removing the set screw. Also my track width was a little wide i thought at 10 3/4 in the rear so while im at it ill make these a tad smaller. I started with a chunk of 1" 6061 AL and this is how they turned out.

Here is what my old set up weighed. .475 hubs turned down a bit, wheel hex, pin, oring, grub screw, and wheel nut

New pin on hub set up. Not a huge savings but 10g is not bad.

All set in place.

All said and finished im at 10 1/2 in the rear now witch was what i wanted and lost 10grams. Thanks for looking.

Is that 2 wedding rings???

You must have spent too much time in Utah at BoTW!:lmao:

Looking good geo.
I have also been toying with scx shocks, but at my first comp with them they lasted a whopping 2 gates before shattering a cap.

Now I'm a little scared to try them again.

Thanks marc I was leary on the scx shocks but these eggressor bodies are working great. I can see the shock caps not lasting long though. I think the 35wt oil I'm running now in them is working great.

So i got home from work today and found a package from my pal DLUX on the porch. Opened it up and it had some goodies for me to test inside. Got a bunch of work to do now. Still need to gather some new parts but looking forward to these bada$$ DLUX cases going on the berg.
