Well Started My 1.9 scaler that will be hauling my Mud truck around.

Doner truck, an scx10 deadbolt got it on sale at tower and a 30 dollar off coupon.

Also got a proline 2008 Ford F-250 body, got the links to make the wheelbase 12.3 and a lvl 3 rc tow hitch. Tires are RC4WD Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC 1.9, on axial 1.9 8 hole Beadlocks

Gunna Keep it mostly stock for now but will slowly add scale accessories and upgrades as they break....I have the HR internal tranny gears for it as well. Right now just going to use it as a Mud truck hauler, may use it as some point as a class 2 comp rig.

Here is the trailer Im making for it got it mocked up for now still working on the details, and the parts that connect it to the truck...lol.

I'll update this thread as I go.....stay tuned more to come....[emoji3]

Thank you

Metallic black, candy red, and grill and tool box silver. Might do some white stripping but not for sure and a metallic red strip along the sides.
Want to try a marbled look (think that's what I'm after) but my trials have been unsuccessful. Just ends up being all black once I back it.

I've sprayed light thin coats of the metallic black first 2 or 3.....then went over it with the candy red 2 to 3 thin coats backed it with a black backer. Just ends up being black can't see the red

I'm thinkin I may just do that...since can't seem to make what I planned to do work. Plus my all time favorite color is red lol.

Does anybody know what size LEDs the Light buckets on the top of the deadbolt accepts? Is it 5mm?

also the holes in the front bumper same size?

Finished the paint job I ran out of the liquid mask so I had to use masking tape so it's not perfect but I like it, man that sucked took forever to get it ready. The pictures don't really do the color justice...may have to try taking some pics out side and see if it makes it better...but I love the candy red backed with silver.

Still some scale items I Want to put on it like mirrors, door handles, wipers (would be nice), and what not to make it look more scale may even do an interior later on.

Thanks

Me too it's my favorite color.

Well tested out my trailer with my Mud truck on it I'm not sure it will pull it in gravel it has a hard time pulling it on concrete....it spins out alot it maybe to heavy or the truck is to light or both. Have to adjust the arms that attach it to the hitch turn radius isn't great, hitsend the back tire before I can turn it fully

Also got the body velcored on

I was wondering if there was a way of keeping the passenger side (front) from twisting up when I accelerate? Only that side that does it.

What do you mean by mirror your transmission? And how does flipping or mirroring help? Thanks

when you flip the transmission you get rid of the tourqe twist by moving the motor to the front. you still have to rotate the skid plate(trans mount) and you wont be able to use the dust cover anymore either but to keep the front end down its worth it. use the search engine on here. Im not that good at explaining but I searched nd it was a big help

Ok after searching a bit looks like I need to mirror my tranny....cause my motor is already facing the front just on the left side of the truck.....so mirroring is basically moving the motor to the right side of the truck....but wouldn't that just cause the left side to twist instead of the right side? Cause seems to me your just moving the twist to the other side of the truck?

Not really, it's torque twist, it's determined by the turning direction of the motor (so moving motor from left to right is not going to help). You could look into a sway-bar, it's often used to reduce torque twist (just makes it less of a crawler, but since you're going to be using it for pulling the trailer, might not be too much of an issue.

Do they make sway bar kits for the scx10? i didnt that would be much of a change. Yeah not using it as a crawler just a hauler have my wraith as my crawler.
