I know there are several posts about this and I didn't know which one to bump so consider this my post about how I mounted Toyo Open Country tires to SSD Contender wheels.

My first attempt putting these tires on, I was having trouble getting a satisfiable seat on the beads (not perfect enough). I let the combo sit and did other projects before coming back to them.

My answer to these (and for the future) is Injora rings. Here's some specific pictures I took. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the initial mounting with the stock rings used, but I will say the shoulder of the bead is more exposed rather than flush fitting with the Injoras.

Difference in center grooves but not the key difference here.

This difference in height is the solution.

Switched the bead screws to black.

Typically you can mount Proline to any wheels. It just takes more patience and force. The key is to find a way to either get a couple of longer screws just to keep everything aligned and you tighten those to slowly clamp it down OR you use a screw, washers and a nut through the center hole of the wheel if possible and use that to align and compress the wheel and tire assembly. This is a great tip though.

Something that I've started doing on tires is to remove the stock foams (and toss them in the trash), let the tires sit overnight, and put the new foams/inserts in and mount them the next day. I've had several sets of Prolines come right out of the package with funky misshapen beads and letting them sit like that seems to let them go back to their natural shape. I had to do the same with the VXT2s that I just mounted.

First off, nice looking wheel and tire combo! Thanks for the tip. This will come in handy and save me from using multiple curse words when the time comes.:)

I haven't checked, but I assume you can purchase Injora beadlock rings seperatly?

This too is a great tip. Thanks.

I have seen the mutilated beads when the new tires are pulled from the package. Fought with them and got them mounted, but was not easy.

Will also try this tip on the next mounting."thumbsup"

I'm not sure, but these were the first rings I tried from my spare bag and they worked. Now, what I should have done was compare these Injora rings to no name ones to see the resemblance. I'd imagine they would work as well if they were the same size. Or if I get a chance I'll check and update the thread.

And I only had these specific rings spared because I purchased their brass versions for a heavyweight build.
