Traxxas is pouring on the goodies for the TRX-4. Here are more items.
I couldn't care less about the G-Wagon body and wheels, but the tracks are cool. I hope they are less expensive than the track kits that are currently available.

Mercedes G-Wagon body and new wheels.

I think the G Wagon body would look good if it had clear windows and was painted a normal color.

I was going to say the G Wagon has some potential but then I saw the Tamiya Audi Quattro Rally also at the Toy Fair and no longer care about what Traxxas had to show off.

Tamiya needs to get with the times & figure out their body post situation.

That benz wagon looks to have some traxxas brand mall crawler tires on it as well, interesting. I like all the trim pieces and light markers too. Not my cup of tea but it’s always good to see new bodies with proper details.

Those traxx are cool as heck too as well as that tamiya rally!

Tamiya does bodies well, but that's not the best looking Audi IMO so I'm kinda ambivalent towards this one.

Body posts are perfect. They work well. I know they ruin the look for some, but the functionality is worth it to me and a lot of others. I don't see Tamiya killing off body posts anytime soon, thankfully.

That G-wagon would be cool if they had gone for a less aggressive fender flare molded to the lexan, but also figured out how the end user could add the more aggressive flares if they choose.
Although, Maybe it’s just the color & translucency of the paint that ruins the wow factor of it.

Jaw dropped to the floor for that G wagon. If they sell it I will buy another trx4 and pass on the bronco completely.

If those g wagon tires are 2.2 at around 4.6 they could be pretty cool for some builds.
But that body looks so out of place I can't relly say what this is  (but spot on)

The Quattro is cool. But the new 2cv Rally is cooler :lmao:

That g wagon is the most hideous thing I've ever seen....Kill it, kill it now.

Traxxas needs to come out with a beefy sensored brushless crawler motor/esc combo.

This body looks like a prototype to me and not necessarily the final thing. The details are kinda vague and that's not like Traxxas. The inset headlights and molded grill really caught my eye. It's just that some of the body lines seem to vague instead of distinct. But it might just be the horrible paint job. That color would make any body look like ass.

I'm not the biggest G-Wagon fan, but I'm sure it will look good when painted up nicely.

That's what the aftermarket is for. If Traxxas came out with a motor and ESC it would be overpriced much like their new "upgrade" servos.

I'm like Jato, the G Wagon is of no interest to me but the tracks I might have to look into a set of those. What is exciting is that Traxxas seems to be committed to the TRX4 platform and making it stay fresh. This can only mean more good things to come. Just a thought on the yellow body, I think it would look less translucent if it were backed up with a white or silver inner coat of paint.

G Wagons arent my thing either, but its cool to see more body options that aren't Jeep. It would probably look much better in a color that isnt so loud (white, silver, or black).

If the tracks are cheap enough I might buy a set to screw around with while snow wheelin the XJ.

The tracks look like they'd be fun. I just have nowhere to use them.

RCC CALI BIG BEAR TRIP!!!"thumbsup"
slap some on a desert runner and you got yourself a ken block... thing!
*just realized they shoulda slapped those tracks on the TRX-4 TACTICAL they would have looked right at home!

and that audi is the star of the show for me so far.
@durok you seen this yet brother?!

Gwagon looks decent to my eyes. It's the godawful paint job and dubs that throws it off. The day-glo monchrome green belongs on a Jrx-2 tearing up the track in 1989, not the latest crawler body in 2019.

I'm sure it is a prototype of sorts, the official release will be better I'd imagine.

Those tracks... Love 'em!! Not going to be cheap though, guessing around $300 for the set.

That G-Wagon will probably do well overseas, but can't imagine it would be as popular in the US. But I could be wrong. Just not my thing.

I am very interested in the tracks though. I predict there will be a new small market in fitting kits to adapt them to other models.

Compare this Gelandewagen from the Boom Racing site (same color, hardbody vs lexan, seriously stretched Proline buggy tires- :lmao:):

Tamiya chose the somewhat more boring sister to the Audi Quattro Coupe they should've gone with:

Yep! If it was that body I'd be drooling.

I didn't notice this. The G-Wagon has side pipes.
