low voltage alarm for lipo

I just got a.low voltage alarm. I can set it to alarm anywhere from 3.0 to 3.8 volts. What is a good setting to protect my lipos?
I usually use 3.2 - 3.4VPC (volts per cell). You are getting into the steep discharge part of the curve. While the cells can go lower, it comes up fast.8)

Thanks Charlie-III
I had it set at 3.8 just to be safe I will lower it to 3.4 witch seams better.

I set mine to 3.4 which is too concervative... I figure batteries r cheap so gonna drop it to 3v

I've got something similar...

Value Hobby R/C Hobby Store (Bensenville, Illinois): GT Power 1-8S LiPO Battery Voltage Tester/ Low Voltage Alarm

Very loud and annoying, but it works nicely. I don't have lipo cutoff enabled on my escs, and I bought it mainly to check voltage so I don't grab a low pack when I'm out, but it'll work as a regular alarm as well.

I would love to pickup 2 of these but I am in Canada and they dont ship here. Is anyone kind enough to order and send to me? I will pay it back :ror:

Thanks man! just ordered 3 of these..

2 for micro crawlers and 1 for the M14 I just got... want to make the M14 2s lipo instead of the nicd it runs now...

in the states so on regular shipping I should get it pretty quick vs the 1 month from boat!

THANKS!!!! "thumbsup"

I got them in.. WOW THEY ARE COOL!!!!!
loud and easy to use..

gonna velcro one into each micro crawler and put the 3rd in the M14 to do lipo.... yay...
"thumbsup"

lil bigger than I thought would be but bahhhh it is ok...

I use a simple lipo alarm on my crawler for 2s lipo. I was wondering do u stop and charge after one light goes red or do u go till both red lights come on?

If one of your cells drops below the voltage limit (I am assuming this is your red light) then stop and charge it. Balance it also. Not worth the risk.

In response to the first poster months ago. My eleven year old left his truck on after the LVC shut the truck down and killed the lipo. I know your pain. I will take credit and say I should have watched him better, but I went out after it happened and bought one of these programmable alarms off ebay. Loud as a fire alarm and light as a feather. I keep it in my box (as others have said) to check my voltages while I am out.

I got one from RC4WD similiar to nimyad's post for an outcry esc that I have. Works great, LOUD!, adjustable and monitors/displays individual cells.
