KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

How about an axial tranny? anyone got one of those laying around? I have an r2d and a an r2 handy.

P.S. I know where to buy one new."thumbsup"

Scary, your scaler looks great!

I've got a axial trans with a busted rear output ...I haven't a clue to its value???
It came out of my rtr honcho ...replaced with a summit 2speed

Interested?

You should be good. I'm not familiar with that tranny, but you can't use dig in our sporstman class. That being said in these local comps guys have ran them (myself included) you're just not allowed to use them. We don't want it to be a barrier to entry, so don't worry about it if you have one installed, you'll just be at a disadvantage carrying the extra weight for something you can't use.

Hope to see you out there!

I bought this out of the classifieds, "Ax10 roller with r2j double tri skid and his lower links. Needs trans work. Stock axles" It also comes with a set of eritex derlin comp fatties. I've been going to start a build thread aslo but wondered if these are the rules I should follow?
Here are the Sportsman vehicle specs straight from the 2011 rules:

2.5 –
Sportsman Class (Optional):
2.5.1 - Vehicle wheelbase is limited to a maximum of 12.5 inches.
2.5.2 - Vehicle track width is limited to a maximum of 12.5 inches. This is determined by measuring
the bottom of the outer most edge of the front and rear tires while the vehicle is sitting on level ground.

2.5.3 - Vehicle is limited to 2.2 inch wheels/rims or smaller at the bead surface. Wheels may be modified, provided
that the tire bead surface does not exceed 2.2 inches in diameter. With a tire mounted, no exterior component of the
wheel, including but not limited to, the bead lock ring shall exceed 2.55". Tires may be modified from other sized tires
using only a pliable rubber, but must not exceed a total uncompressed outer diameter of 6 inches.

2.5.4 - Vehicles are limited to 2-wheel steering only.
2.5.5 – The body and Bodiless vehicles same as Class 2 vehicle –2.2 (See Sec. 2.3.5 & 2.3.6)
2.5.6 - Vehicles are limited to the use of 2 radio channels (one for steering & one for throttle) only. Neither channel
can be used to perform more than one function. Radio systems with more than 2 channels are allowed, but only 2
channels may be used to control the vehicle.

2.5.7 - Vehicles are limited to 1 ESC & 1 servo only.
2.5.8 - (OPTIONAL) Vehicles are limited to 1 motor powering both of the axles.

Been some talk about a sportsman/pro class in our club !!

sportsman novice: shafty only/no dig

sportsman/Pro: shafty only/with dig

run one or the other sportsman class,
you can not run both sportsman classes in one season !!

sportsman/novice has its own course
sportsman/pro runs on the 2.2 class course or ?

what you guys think ?
we can talk more about this @ the season warm up.

LOL of coarse you would do this after I pulled the dig out of my shafty!

your a NOVICE right !!
run novice one season & change over to pro the next seasons "thumbsup"

nothing set on this Idea yet,
well see !!

Meh, I plan on running shafty with no dig this season. Don't care much for the shafty with dig idea. Just run the 2.2 class and see where you fall without the MOA's. Regular sportsman will likely be added as an official class, so that will be what is ran at the Crawl-off.

That's exactly where I stand. If you have a dig, try 2.2. Its sportsman and 2.2, not shafty and moa classes. I usually try and run 2.2 just for fun and drive time.

This close to the season open I don't really want to be changing the rules.

Picked up this little gem today.

Scary, got any tiny 3s batteries that might fit on the front axle of a mini pro?
If not how does $20 sound for the axial trans?

Anyone know how long a mini might run with a 300-400/450 mah 3s...I can get about 10-12 minutes with a 325mah 2s?
