KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

I know a while back several people were getting into building trikes and getting some nice deals on used go kart wheels/tires. Does anyone still have that connection?

 Thats crazy.....it did come to an abrupt stop.
Well I tore the 1.9 down. Heres what ended its day early. Ive NEVER seen this happen to anyone before. I think the vendor I got the motor from has great products but I personally always seem to have bad luck with them.

Also looks like my idea for Axial wheels isnt working very well. This is what all 4 look like.

Stop checking out my holes. The holes are that large because I used the bit that was already chucked up in the drill. No chance of restricted airflow.

Im not sure about the motor. All three poles cam unglued/soldered from the arm and wedged in the motor can. Now I know why it came to a screeching stop.

Was this a result of "cutting comms"

Picked it up for $10. Didn't have any body panels, or the drivers head,
but everything else was there. Including all the original electronics.
This Tamiya "Wild One"is in really good shape for 27 years old.
The guy was the original owner too.

Scabbed together a quick styrene hood, and aluminum roof, added some other doo-dads. And Whalaa!...we have a 2WD Scaler Buggy!

No shelf queens!

Gotta love garage sale/swap meet scores. I picked these up for a song at a swap meet a couple months back. The Blackfoot is completely RTR minus battery. Looks like someone installed Kyosho front shocks, wheel bearings and aftermaket tires. The lexan Brat body is in sad shape, front body mount is broken and its missing the Rx battery holder. The RC10 gold tub is a second version (after the 1984 original, still 6 gear tranny) and its almost RTR minus Tx and battery. The bottom of the chassis has about 12 scratches on it like the owner put one or two packs thru it and parked it. Still all original right down to the tires and oilite bushings. Came with a new unpainted body. Both cars have gawd aweful hot pink with splatter yellow paint jobs.

Diggin' the 3 piece rims on the RC10. Still got my old gold tub as well.
Someday I'll pick up a new championship version body for it.
Maybe Jerry will let me borrow his, and I can vacuum form some new ones...?

Hey K'Neal, you still got that Frog?
Gotta love the vintage stuff, any body else got some?

Not that vintage, but I've got an Ultima II, and an original RC-10T somewhere. The Ultima still has the old rotary speed control. 8) I might have to dig it out and get her going again when I get home.

I wish I still had all the ones I've got rid of or lost over the years.
