KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

I installed the overdrive mod tonight but didnt have shims. Feels ok but needs a shim or 3 to take up some of the slack for sure. At least the rest of the overhaul is done.

I installed my overdrive and with no shims there is less slack then there was with the stock setup. Are your gears smooth mine are a little ruff feeling I'm wondering if I needed more slack.

i installed a couple of the over drive gears in the mini's... i didnt use any shims and have very little play and ive also tested it through about 20 packs.. if you get it to tight it will bind and catch. and i also noticed a little rough just spinning the axle shaft by hand but once you put the wheels on and spin it it goes away and you dont even notice.

I think my gear mesh is to tight but I can't move the pinion gear back any farther. I'll be interested to see what other rigs sound like with this mod.

Thanks for the info, I had a major brain fart and was setting it up wrong. I finally figured it out earlier and now I'm trying to make some shims.

Can anyone help a :afro: out.......I need to come up with 8 Mini T soft springs (the silver ones).

If you have some collecting dust let me know, i'll take them off your hands $.
