Just got my HG-P601 6x6 Crawler

Still waiting on mine, ordered and it said 3-8 days. took that long just to process. Ordered the metal chassis parts too. Lots of spares on the "bay" including gearboxes if you can get your reverse sorted out.

Has anyone "tested" wether or not the stock ESC/RX is waterproof? Or even splash/water resistant? I have an AE-5, 35t motor, WP steering servo, and 4ch TX/RX to put in my daughter's, but thought I would hold off on switching ALL of the electronics since we're coming down to a bit of a time crunch for this weekends crawl vs. my work schedule. I just know for sure she will be driving this thing in water where we are going, so if there's no info on how it holds up I would just as soon change everything so she's not sitting with a dead truck. She's super excited about her first "crawler", so the last thing I want is to be working on it while we're there!

Well, I cracked open the ESC/RX unit and it appears to have a poly conformal coating on the board and components. I will give it a proper test tomorrow afternoon and report back what I find out.
I did go ahead tonight and install the WP servo. I will say that the current steering setup is junk. The geometry is so stressed at the draglink that I am going to have to do something. I have read in one of the threads on these that the SCX10 hubs work...anyone know if this is true?

I don't think the hubs do, but the knuckles match up perfect except you will have to figure out new bearings. The SCX has much larger holes, I bought a set and tried them just haven't gotten exact measurements and found bearings yet so not sure 100% if they will work.

Did you repaint the body. Was it painted inside or outside. Looks sooo cool
