ive seen stock scx10's with just an XJ body thrown on and a couple scale accessories in magazines..not a single hand made item.. it takes a lot to make something look as good as this even if they are bolt ons. and if i were you id be damn proud of it! and remember that if it makes you happy then thats all that matters.. sometimes people just arent having good days and need to vent.. but i dont see how even the most skilled fabricator could say anything bad about this BUILD.. also i see an "assembly" refering to a kit that INCLUDES all the parts needed.. dont let ANYBODY shoot you down..

I hope this next post wont offend anyone who thinks that my thread and truck shouldnt be anywhere othere than this thread on the forum but i'd like to THANK BUDDAMONK FOR POSTING MY JK ON HIS NEW WEBSITE thank you so much for your support and everyone who help me to get this assembly to where its at now, this doesnt mean that im done adding to this truck (sorry DTJK lol) there are more work to be done and a lil modification to be done as well.

so i wanted to change the rear suspension and the way its sits and i wanted it to look more scale here are some pics i need opinions "thumbsup"

By the end of the day it s also about driveability in the terrain and not only looks. I think you just gotta test it out in the field.

didnt use it yet but it seems alot more stable than before

Operation HELL NO! If you can find me a picture of a 1:1 with shocks mounted like that, I'll paypal you $100. Yes it's going to ride smoother...your spring rate is about 45% of what it would be mounted on the shock mounts. On my builds, I don't run oil or o rings on the shocks. They are purely sprung. Scale action, scale rebound. Take them out, if you don't like them...put them back in.8)

so i added a bracket and moved in towards the inside a little bit, now it sits very low and i lowered the front as well, looks good. the only thing is its bottomed out which means sittin all the way down on the shocks, your input sir?

Pay up bulldog! :lmao: the angle of the shocks does look a little aggressive, but like dude said "try it on the trails" . Oh I got my kit the other day, so it's kinda like being at your kids soccer match and he or she sucks and joe blow over there has his kid doing push ups and scissor kicks into the goal! I still love you son! Lol! BTW I do not have children and no I would never compare my child's abbilties to another child like that, : )

Nobody wins until I see a shot of that same rig from the side.8) If the rear shock is 45 degrees to the rear...I'll either pay up or come up with a hardship story.:lmao: Post up your pics!

As for the inboard mounting...looks much better."thumbsup" I'd say spacers on the axle, and mount the shocks in front of the rear crossmember to make it right. 8)

Hell no, that's stock mounting position. My fox shocks are mounted the same way. It's just the angle that makes it look like its mounted further back. Rebel offroad's bolt on coilover kit moves the shocks back a tiny bit but I still wouldn't call it same as how Moedawi mounted them at first pic.

So no one should be getting any money. Never would a 1:1 mount shocks like that. You'd hit them on every incline!
