Hobbywing Quicrun Waterproof 1080 Brushed Crawling ESC

I should note that if you want to delete the power switch on your 1080 you have to hardwire (solder) the 2 red wires together. Leave the black and white wires alone, they are for the set switch. Make sure to calibrate your throttle before deleting the switch!"thumbsup"

Good to know, thanks!

is anybody aware that hobbywing makes the ae-5 for axial? they also make an almost identical esc to the ae-5 for redcat that comes with the e10.
It's possible, but it's never been proven. And with the unreliability of the AE-5 I am doubtful that HobbyWing is the OEM. HobbyWing's 1060 is ultra reliable.

Killed my AE-5 last weekend and was about to buy another when I saw all the rave on this thing. I'll be trying it without an external BEC with my Savox 1231. Can't wait to try it out!

I run the 1230sg @6v/500oz and the bec has no problem keeping up. I have purposely stalled the servo in a bind for multiple seconds and it never even glitched.

I use a Solar D772 on 7.4v and it survived a hour and half comp a week ago. No issues at all
The esc was cool to the touch also.

I tried to do mines breifly just for a look but doesn't appear i can do it without damaging the case and i'm running a 4 mile trail tomorrow

Anyone know if this esc can run 2 servos off the BEC? That's is my question..... thanks

If the servos are 6-7.4v you should be fine. The bec is pretty good on the wp1080.

I'm running the WP powerHD 20kg servo, just bought the powerHD 23kg servo so ill be running both of those and they are rated at 6.6v (i think I wrote that right) . I've bought a BEC just have to wait for it...
So Im guessing the highest setting on the esc , should work with(for) both servos...?

My lvc is set to medium on the esc and after 100min of continues running (2s 4600mah lipo with Rc4wd Beast II) it went in failsafe mode. My lipo was then 3.25V/cell. Which seems low to me.

When I first bought mine I didn't mess with the lvc it was high battery was at 3.8 then I changed it to low, my truck stopped, checked my batterys,3.4 is what I read...either all batteries are off(shitty) or the LVC is shits

ya that what happening to me no matter what the LVC is set at, be it Low. Medium, Or high it still cuts off at 3.83-3.79 and that only about 10 to 15 mins of driving hard or slow and the esc or motor are not even warm...I am running 14 lights but they are not the high powered ones either...Maybe it could be that.
I'm going to disable LVC this time with the Low beeper buzzer tool for non cut off esc..
Maybe i got one of those, what do you call Lemons...

I just ordered one of these for my sawback. It will be paired with my Holmes Hobbies crawl master 16t and I' hoping it will be smoother than the dynamite esc that I'm currently running. I have to do some more mudding and taping then paint my living room walls so that I can spend some more time at the rc workbench and get back on my trails.
