HB Rover Review

SWelte,

have u changed over to the whites yet. Just wanted get a second opinion. I am running the blues and just wanted to compare to the whites. Thx

Matt:?::?::?:

I noticed a big differance between the Blue Rovers and Panthers. Both had stock foams and i drove lines and steep climbs with the Panthers but just sat spinning with the rovers. Was pretty disappointed with the rovers. Is there a big differance between the blue and white? I'd like to think the Rovers will hook up better as they wear but i'm tempted to throw the Claws back on:-(
The Rovers sound like they are trying to grip but dont seem to have the traction of the Claws or Panthers.

where would be the cheepest place to get a set of the white ones?
link please.
thx Dirby.

I have to say the Rovers are awsome!!Ran them at the Alabama comp. yesterday slick, wet and muddy rocks. They hooked up great and was not affected by any of the above.Im running the whites (soft)

Has anybody tried the whites up front and the blues out back.
Sounds like a good set up to me.

No need to they work well with whites all the way around!!!

I think ktmkurt is at the same thought I posted about running whites in the front and blue in the back, due to the fact the whites on the rear have been folding under. So with running a stiffer tire in the rear with the whites up front it mat eliminate the problem. But I guess it also does depend on how much is weight is riding on the rear axle. It will be a while before I actually test my theory out, I am in the process of gathering rest of my parts. As soon as everything is received I will post my thoughts.

I noticed you said something in a post but, I guess nobody has tried it.
I might have to try it and be the guinee pig.

HB Rovers just took 1st at the NWARC comp over the weekend "thumbsup"

Stiffening up the rear really does help on the steep climbs!

One of our club guys just picked up some white dot Rovers...after looking at the foams he came up with the idea of using foam truck cap tape to fill the gap.

I'm working on getting some pics from him. The brand he used I don't know, but it's 1.5" wide by about 3/16" thick, and he said it fills the gap perfectly.

All we have to do is test it out, but he told me that the foam is soft and seems like it will work well.

I'll post up more info as soon as I can get it "thumbsup"

Nerve - that course is AWESOME! Where is it at, and do they have a website?

Big Boys with Cool Toys in Mississauga, Ontario (Canada)

It used to be an indoor offroad carpet track and they converted it to a crawling course and has seen a LOT more action since converting. I'm surprised the track is holding up under all that weight of the rocks etc.
