Re: Loss of power

It's a scx10.1 everything is stock
The motor doesn't turn at all when facing a wall

This as also a symptom of warn brushes. Depending on how much you have driven it. Replace it with a similar turn trailmaster motor if you were happy with the old one.

Hello, I have a hopefully simple question, I have a CC 2.0 WP-BEC using it at 6v (this version has 2 out put legs each at same voltage), on one leg is power Led Light Bars and the other leg is power 2 fans. I want to add a switch to the fans so that I can turn them on or off as needed. I have a few older Novak on/off switches that just brake the circuit on one wire. Does it matter if I put it on the positive or negative leg? It will be in-between the BEC and the fans so lights will still function normally on the second leg. Thank you guys and gals, Ed
You can break the circuit on either side and there is no difference. What does matter is that the switch is beefy enough to handle the amperage. Switches in general have pretty low amp ratings. I get that it's only for fans, tiny switches might only be good for like 0.3amps though. For the most part the switches usualy just stop working if you ask too much from them.

I was wondering about that, and I was thinking that it is just 2 small fans using essentially servo wire, but it could easily be an amp or two and the switch is tiny (max 22ga wire) I couldn't find any numbers on the switch either to try and guesstimate, but it is super small, maybe better to just leave them on...

You Have 2 esc's you don't need a dig, you need a remote that handles 2 esc's like the Spektrum dx5pro. Futaba makes them too but I don't know Futaba. No idea how your dx6i pistole functions, but basically you bind ch2 and ch3 together to be throttle in one screen and set 1 dial/switch to change the % of throttle between them in another. 100 only the front moves, 0 they both move, -100 only the rear moves. It's all in the remote programming, I imaging if you hacked a dx6i into a pistol, some how you can figure it out.

Thank You Voo d brew
the dig unit wantAmix was as I though an easier way to set it up for my DX3R Tx. or my DX6i Pistol.
So your saying that I need a 3 channel Receiver?
I tried seeting this up using Spektrum AR500 rx and a Spektrum DX3R, then plugged in the Torque master esc's into the wantAmix
I have been playing around with Different mix numbers but cannot get it to drive front and rear equally, in fact, it just drives the Front (#1ESC) and the rear does not turn, if I go reverse then front and rear moves equally, but with a delay moving.
My mind was working really well building things back then. Unfortunately I have recently had some set backs, so much I dont know how I managed to build my creations. So trying to figure out programming in the TX and not having much results, I feel like just paying someone to do it.
I'll be greatfull and happy to paypal you for help.

My Pistol DX6 is configured for dual triggers, but right now I'm just trying to get working using the main throttle trigger and program a mix button to inhibit Throttle -> Elevator ch. so the esc's send power equally.
Any Help with Specifics details greatly appreciated

also have a New DX6 stick to test with and an older DSM x stick

What are the round pieces on the leads and do I need to keep them? Ae5 on 2s atm.

I have a theoretical question that I am not sure can be answered other than to try each option, but here it goes.... Is there a way to possibly predict which motor would run most efficiently on 3s given that I have preliminarily determined the pinion size for each:

HH PP L 4100kv - 9T

Tekin ROC412 HD 3100kv - 11T

CC 1415 1Y 2400kv - 15T

Truck weights 7.5-lbs and has an internal gear ratio of 3.8:1

Opinions welcome as I am just trying to decide which option would be best to try first, thank you very much, Ed

What do you mean by efficiency?
Max run time,( longest batt life)
Max Torque...... strength
Fastest ........ speed/rpm

Coolest running, least strain on the motor. Not sure if that is a higher Kv motor spinning a small pinion or a lower Kv motor spinning a larger pinion, I know I can fine tune speed & torque with gearing, I guess its more "which is best; higher RPM with a small pinion or lower RPM with a bigger pinion" I guess it doesn't help each of the 3 motors is a different brand.... Its probably just a crap shoot I guess. I figured the question id probably not answerable without testing... That's why I was hoping to get some opinions, thank you for at least getting me to clarify it a bit. E

Thank You so much for this thread help.
I have searched RCC , google , youtube and castle.

I have Dual Torque master XL's and trying to configure the mixes with my DX6i custom pistol , but I gave up because my Spektrum Elevator POT is faulty and now trying with my bran New 2017 DX6 stick.
on RCC I found instructions on DX6 but that is a very old model and not the same as the new DX6 .
Cant seem to find how to configure a DX6i with dual esc's .

Problems, please help:
1. Finally got my front Torque master BR XL calibrated and functioning on right stick Pitch but could not get the rear ESC Torque master going. After much changes, I got the rear working on my New DX6 but now the front stopped working.
My front ESC calibrates, but the motor beeps ( HH Hand wound Pro 35t brushed.) Guessing that the ESC is misconfigured in the esc, I connected to Castle Link, but did not find anything out of place.
No results on castle, google, RCC. about motor beep after ESC calibration.

2. The closets that I have gotten is reverse on my MOA , but when try forward motion, the front axle and rear axle go in opposite directions. so then I made another mix change and now, left stick operates rear axle forward and reverse but no front motor, when check the TX monitor it shows that they go in same direction, but in reverse the other axle is opposite direction. erghh.

Goal:
Either use my custom DX6i pistol so that the mix/momentary button allows front dig and my Mix 2 (ail DR) switch allows for independent rear drive .
or use my New DX6 stick and right stick Pitch runs front axle, left stick rudder runs rear axle, and Switch H is my mix for Pitch>rudder so that Pitch CH is master for front/rear throttles.

Also, to add ,I have disconnected the negative lead to the rear ESC. but still through Front ESC Calibration the Front motor continues to beep and ESC never Arms.
As I continue to troubleshoot I have run castle update and new firmware

thank you

Thank you for running this I am building a axial wraith. And have a few questions.

The electronics I am running are:
Hobbywing 1080 brushed
Holmes hobbies CRAWLMASTER EXPERT 540 13T
Power HD LF-20MG Servo
XR4 2.4Ghz receiver

I do plan to in the future to run a second servo for rear steer probably the same servo but I would like to know if i will need a BEC and i plan to use lipo 2-3s batteries and what mah would be good for this set up and if the C count really matters that much?

missing the most important piece and that is what is the ESC? If your ESC supports 6v at about 5-10amp then your steering servo's are good to go.
if not , then install a castle bec and remove the red wire on your esc.
is that correct John?

thank you

All of the Spektrums are different but this thread has some info, and I will ad to it with what I have for the dx5r and dx5 pro later
