Just trying to spread the word and make an open invite for anyone interested in crossing the river to VT to go crawling at Quechee Gorge on June 14th, meeting up at 9AM in the parking lot of the little souvenir/snack shop right before the bridge. Most of us will be running 1.9 SCX's, but run whatever you brung.

You can have fun without being waterproofed, but to fully enjoy everything the Gorge has to offer you will want to be fully waterproofed.

I've only been to Quechee Gorge once before, and believe it is some of the best scaling terrain the state has to offer. It's about an hour drive for me, and totally worth it.

Hope to see some new faces there! Post up or PM me for more details.

Rob, that's a long ways. I need to order some parts to get another truck running. I'll try to make it.

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures from last years visit, I think this picture belongs to Trombley2?

Mines the Blazer.

The picture is deceiving, there is plenty of terrain to play on within a few acres. I will warn you, it is about a 1/2 mile hike from the parking lot to the play area. It's all shaded though.

I have lots of stock plastic Axial parts, if that happens to be what you need Coorz?

I know that 3 hours is quite a haul, but I feel that it is truly some of the best scaling the green mountain state has to offer.

My scx10 will be back together tonight. I'm tring to get my twin hammers back together, ordering Holmes 13t TH motor. That's all I need to get it running.

Hey kids,
Its like two hours for me, if I'm feeling up for the drive I'll be there. How many people we talking? Can we get some human sized pics? Rob you definitely planning on going?

I know it's hard to judge the actual size. I assure you, when the water is low there is hours upon hours of crawling to be had.

I forgot you put this in the NH forum, meatmonkey.. haha

I've got a Twin Hammer as well. I wasn't going to bring it but if there is a chance you will show up with one well then, I'll have to. They'd be fun on the walk down and back more than anything. "thumbsup"

There are the pics I was looking for!! Wow looks like a great spot!! I'm in. Probably have my trail finder, possibly two.

im in if I can find a ride the wife works till 3 so it a little to late
to drive cross state if anybodys near fryburge or Conway can I hitch a ride

There has been a lot of rain here so far this week so there is unfortunately the possibility that the gorge may be flooded this Saturday. If that happens there is a backup location of playing on Mt Ascutney. I do not know exactly where it is, other than about 1/2 hour south of the gorge.

Likely meet up spot would be the park and ride at exit 8 off of I91 at 10AM. Jus knows where we'd be headed, so PM Jus for better directions if interested.

I will update this thread as soon as I know exactly which location will work. I'm really rooting for the rain to stay away and let us play in the gorge, but either way I'm playing with toy trucks so its still a win of sorts.

I've gotten over an inch of rain over the last couple days so it's highly unlikely that the gorge is going to work. Damn mother nature.:cry:

The forecast for saturday is looking more promising in general though, for hitting another spot. The trails on Ascutney are pretty fun and you get a good view while you're there. :)
