GT3B Hack Question and Answer Thread

Alright, sent emails 2x to the support email on the Overkill site, without getting any response. It's been 20 days since I've ordered and haven't received anything or even a shipping notification. Should I be worried? Anyone with experience buying from Overkill/losikid know what to expect as far as shipping times?

Get a refund and flash it yourself with the $7 ebay ST link v2. There are a lot of youtube videos with instructions on how to do the firmware update from start to finish.

Hey guys, I just got hack kits back in stock.

I do believe he stated in this thread it would be a while before he was doing anything. Think he took some time off.

Up above was the last post I saw *shrug*.

Thanks for the info, I'll do some research on it. If I don't hear anything by the end of the week, I'll submit a refund request via paypal. Don't want to risk going past the 45 day marker. Been down that road before and lost out a lot of $$ because I never received the item.

There have been hundreds of people who flash flysky gt3b/c themselves. Whoever failed doing it on here made a user error because it's a pretty common and easy mod among rc enthusiasts.

Any idea when the 3 position switch adapters will be available?

Ch3 and D/R switches on the grip are 3 position switches. If you need a link on how to setup DIG and proportional drive on a hacked gt3b/c then pm me.

Will the FS-R6B work with my hacked GT3C? Or is there a more popular receiver to use?

Yes, that should work. Make sure to enable 6+ ch on your tx "thumbsup"

I think there's confusion. Some people have tried to program theirs directly through the USB charging port which does not work AFAIK.

Not sure how someone could think that. But just to confirm this type of programmer will work? Cus I bought one of these then someone said it didn't work.

Yes, that is the correct st link. Whoever said it doesn't work is incorrect. I personally updated my GT3c firmware without any problems. That includes soldering the wires to the main board and flashing the ram.

Had some time this morning and popped open the Gt3c to solder the connector and do the hack. Went pretty painless. Loaded the new firmware... Now just have to adjust what I want.

Any must have settings that most people use?

Someone recommended I post up in this thread. I started my own thread but figured a lot of flysky owners reference this one. Here is the gist of my issue. I'm having trouble calibrating different esc's with my gt3c. It seems like the throttle is not getting full throw so the esc isn't detecting full forward, full reverse of both. At this time I'm convinced my tx is defective because it is happening with different rx and esc combos. The tx is the only constant. Funny that steering and 3rd channel work fine. Throttle does move but appears to be severely limited. Hoping someone can help me prove the tx is broken and getting a new one is worth the money. If someone had a gt3c and plugged a servo into ch2 to see how much movement they get and could post up a video that would do it for me. (As you can see I'm very doubtful there is a simple fix or setting g problem but maybe someone with more experience with this system can prove me wrong).

Did you calibrate the throttle after you hacked the gt3c? The new firmware requires you to set reset the endpoints for the modded firmware. Look up a couple posts and you will see the links I posted on how config your tx.

I don't believe mine is hacked but is there a way to confirm? It does seem that it it was hacked and the throttle was not correctly calibrated it could explain my issue.

I have 2 Hacked fly sky gt3c radio's .One them is not working after binding ,Light blinks in receiver until it bind's with radio then light goes solid ,,Shut everything off remove plug repower no light in receiver or control from radio ,,Trims zero ,end points 100% , D/R 100% ,EXP 0%, ABS OFF,,
Any help would be appreciated ,,Thank you Robert

Hello,

I apologize right away for asking this question but I am clueless for the moment.

I have hacked my Flysky GT3B (actually a German Jamara CCX Pro) 2011 with 6.1. Software, at the time I was running my Comp XR10 with dual ESC's (micro sidewinders) and the MOA DIG Setup of the Flysky.

Now 6 years pause later and meanwhile 3 kids (yep fertile) I have sold that first Dual ESD Competition XR10 and only got my first XR10 with a NOVAK M2 DIG ESC

Can someone help me setting up my Flysky so I can run the NOVAK, I am pretty sure that someone must have the same combination ;-)

Thanks all for considering giving me feedback

Cheers you Schnitzel Fellow from Germany, "thumbsup"
