GSRCC Scale Endurance 18

Thanks Meatwad! "thumbsup"

Glad you came out for some fun on the rocks!

We did steak at the last GSRCC Championship event (free). Make sure you don't miss the next one!

No, thank you. It's a lot of work to put an event like this on so frequently and we all appreciate it "thumbsup"

Then let's just change the saying to 'Official Endurance Lunch' Looking forward to the next one brother!

Thanks for the great event at lake Amador, broke around gate 25 still drove around in 2wd the best I could,

This was my first event, I loved it! Challenging and great fun! Thank you Joe and all those that helped with support and donations to keep these events going! I plan on attending everyone I can from now on! I only snapped one pic, was too busy trying to keep up with meatwad and noodle!

Well i'll start by saying thanks Joe and GSRCC for keeping us out on the rocks and for some cool swag and grub you ROCK"thumbsup". Also a huge thanks to all the sponsors for the cool swag and support.

Now all I can say is yes amador can be brutal but like Joe said it just makes you a better driver and builder. The course was off the heezy fo sheezy lol L.E.R.K. had a blast and for a little twist Joe challenged us to drive the first 4 gates in reverse:shock: gate 4 was interesting but we worked together and accompished the goal and that is what the endurance is all about, team work. Hope we can make the next one and we'll see everyone on some rocks soon.
Well said Jrock. If you came with a bullet proof rig, you know after this one if you made it through your a winner! Just to say MAMA's MONEY made it with some helpp. Thanks to Gabespeed and Norton

WOW Tyler H 570 points that is a finaminal score no gates hit at all, except the one I saw you hit. weren't you running solo so assists are out then lol,i have a solution how about we run together next time,

Maybe a little info at the drivers meeting about what it really takes to win, which doesn't include just coming up with a score at the end you feel you should have. I happened to be crawling on course near JRock and Jerrys800 and saw first hand, how they were doing. They were making progress, not hitting gates, assisting the hell out of each other and other drivers, completed the whole course and did the bonus. They deserved to be at the top. There are also a good number of people that just flat out CHEAT! Because of that, you see more and more great drivers just resorting to a "Fun Run". :-(. Maybe by speaking up at the drivers meeting it will make more people aware that other people are watching.

I will say, mine was a shakedown run, but I ended up HOGging it a few times so I just turned mine into a fun run and had a blast with my two sons and a few new friends that helped keep my rig going on the course. I didn't want to guess at the end of the day and I had so much going on, I felt it was better off just relaxing and having fun.

I did see how well some of the pro's were doing with assisting each other and making phenomenal lines, and it was encouraging to see them not only rooting for each other, but others around them as well.

all in all, a great day.

I pretty much immediately realized my driving skills were gonna slow me down, slow others down and raise my internal tension levels if I tried to keep score. So I decided to go ahead and stick with the great group of guys I was running with and just Fun Run it.

What a blast.

Until I get to be a better driver, I will likely not be serious about points and touching my truck. I realized those that have been telling me to just run for fun are absolutely right in that I will have a great day regardless of points and list position. Nothing to prove out there other than my enthusiasm for the hobby and respect for my fellow drivers/enthusiasts.

Thanks again GSRCC crew for the great event.

hay everyone maybe you think I was out of line in bringing up the obvious Cheating that goes on but im going to every event from now on if I see you cheat I promise you will hear all about it before you leave the event

Not out of line in my eyes! Only 2 things made me frown that day. A mad wraith jumpin all over a broken Unimog and the call I got from my wife letting me know how late it was.

I thought I was the only one that got that call :lmao:

crawler66, unfortunately there will always be those that accept the old line " If you ain't winnin' you ain't cheatin":flipoff: I don't know enough about scaling events to say who, or if anyone, was cheating, but I would be surprised if some didn't "push the envelope" once in a while. The only way to cut down on that is to start having volunteers watching the gates and the scorecards or having the participants score each other. with 140 drivers on saturday, it would be hard to do in one day.

ya everyone knows that, but it just gets old after a while.oh and you don't have to cheat to win:flipoff:their are winners in this world,in betweeners and loosers, everyone needs to except what they are and move on

I would have to agree with Crawler66 and Gabespeed. Now Amador is a different story, I had so many errors in the new rig that I had to do a fun run. But there are other times were why keep score, you see people not follow the rules and win. What's up with that? If you are not going to keep by the rules go to the back of the pack and let those that run the course for the score in front.

Fun event, first GSRCC for me. Tougher than I was expecting at spots (gates 50-70 were brutal) but great fun.

Must admit though, highlight was that grey 1:1 4runner in the lot!

Not trying to stir the pot.. I don't get to see the score cards to see who said they hit a gate or not.. so I cant say who cheat and who doesn't. I know it sure takes some people a long time to mark that card....LOL I think we just need some clarification at the drivers meeting about whats an assist is and about marking all the gates you hit.

Fun run for my Falken, and my first event. I see that out of 140 there were only 31 that were not for a fun run. Did those 31 run in the front or random idk. Maybe they should and can be judged and the others and kids can go after for fun. Or say it's the competition after lunch at 1:30 .
I had a blast even after I rolled in the first few gates. I settled down and found better lines. Thanks to all, and see you next one.
