Can anyone tell me what it's like there for spectators? Wife is debating on coming or not and if so will have 3 yo girl in tow. And maybe 16 yo girl complaining about something. I was wondering how rough the terrain is and wether there might be something near for little one to play at/ on/ with. Thanks

The Scale Endurance is a lot of fun for participants. Spectators have fun watching thier friends and family participate, but it's not the same level of enjoyment. It's better to get everyone thier own RC crawler and crawl as a family!
Some people bring their own EZ up and chairs so that family members can observe and be comfortable or watch a movie with coffee and some snacks like a tailgate party. Basically, it's whatever you make it. The terrain varies. It's flat dirt and gravel in the parking area, slick river rock by the water, loose rocks, river bed rocks.
There's is not a lot to do there for small children. We are a family friendly club and the Scale Endurance is a family friendly event. Family and spectators are welcome. There is a camping, river access and a nature walk nearby.

Thanks for the reply Seph606. Wife's not going...wait yes she is...nope no she's not going...okay she's going...so far that's the latest answer. Had a motor burn out on test run tonight, got that swapped and then stripped the center transmission gear...luckily an exceed maxstone 10 is super close to the same gear. Close enough that it's working. Hopefully I can get a proper one in the morning and have time to install it. This is our first event ever so we're super excited.

Awesome time yesterday. Great course with some really technical gates. Great people. And a lot of teamwork. No breakage. Should of ran the course a second time.Happy with the finish. Not bad for being out for a year or so. Cant wait until the next one. 2015 is going to be a blast!

One of the best events yet!
I took off around 2:00, I had some cabinet work to finish before Monday. I will say that was a blast though! Loved the water and the tough lines! I'll be heading back there every once in awhile because it's so close to me. Met a lot of new people and as always a great day of crawling.
