Good Read

I think maybe he could have used angry american instead of white man.

there are lots of angry black men and women that are sick of the lazy people to. heck I would venture to say any nationality that lives in america has a strong group of people that just hate the breeding low life's on the welfare system, and the illegal worker situation. things need to change from the ground up. the low life breeder's need to be cut off. people that dont have the right to work and pay into the system need to leave not get free health care while they are here.

highmark after you get a few years under your belt and watch all your earnings go towards feeding welfare families with like 8 kids and nothing wrong with the parents other than laziness, and unwed mothers getting cars bought for them by welfare and getting free housing while every night they are out laying in bars your attitude is going to change. I was at my buddies house the other day and his neighbor was talking to us. He was saying about how his sister was on welfare and she wanted to have a kid. My buddy said "whats she want a kid for?" and he says "so she can get more money". He said this like it was the most normal thing in the world! I wanted to beat his ass then go find his sister slap the sh!t out of her. It is this mentality and people like you who condone it that are ruining this country. They let all these Mexicans come in the country and want to give them welfare and SSI and then talk about how the SSI fund is going bankrupt! No fawking wonder! What bullshit is there to read through? What he is saying is the truth!

Don't preach to me, my Brother is adopted, my parents have foster children, and I'm a first generation college student putting myself through. I work hard, and my parents do too. They take an active role in making society better, and in the mean time support my aspirations.

I know all about the scum of society, and how little our wonderful president has done in the past 8 years to fix the situation.

The article is ironic because the writer contradicts many of the points he's trying to make. The whole mess is a lot of idealistic hearsay. It's also humorous that you bothered to look up the definition of "irony", maybe it will do you some good.

As for the "comments", plural for "comment", which I would hardly constitute "bullshit" as being, yes it is bullshit. No one stayed in New Orleans because they wanted too, or where 'unfit' to get out, and the vast majority did get stuck there.

If you want to pull the experience card, then yes, I do know several people that where there, and I got to set on a plane with some nice people who lost everything they had when I went to Nat's in 06.

Highmark, if you're going to try to correct people you should know the difference between "common" and "come on" as well as the difference between "too" and "to".

I'd better not forget "where" and "were" and "set" and "sit".

 :flipoff:

all talk of politics race and religion should be banned from RCC we all have a common interest. why muddy that with things we dont control.

People fear of talking about race, religion, and politics because they do not truly understand their beliefs in any of those enough to take the time to research or understand others viewpoints.

What sloppy said was that the topics shouldn't be here...not that he "feared" those topics. Basically he was saying was that this isn't a political discussion forum, it's not a religious forum either.

It's a toy car forum and that folks can believe anything they want about religion or politics, just don't try forcing it down his throat while he's trying to hang out and enjoy talking about toy cars.

He can't control your thoughts on politics or religion so why should he bother "researching" another person's opinion or belief?

There are multiple sides to every political or religious discussion and those topics are always hotly debated.

When I ran MaxxTraxx we had a "No politics, No religion" rule.

Opinions on RC vehicles are one thing, but the topics of politics and religion open up a whole world of mess due to strong beliefs on both topics.

Fact is: The easiest way to control a large group of people is to get them to believe in the same ideologies and principles.

This applies to both government and religion.

Who's right? Who's wrong?

It's all a matter of perspective.

So you believe the Angry White Men helped the situation?
Yes, those men were the people who were paying for the levees to be strengthened BEFORE the hurricane....and, the last time I checked, that is a good example of "help". Why was it not finished? Why werent actions taken prior to the hurricane? I live in a hurricane region and when one comes near, we take action....and leave. It is a part of living in the Gulf Coast.

Highmark, if people didnt want to stay there and werent "unfit" to leave, then why was there a problem? Do they not watch the news? Do they not understand what a hurricane is? Did they forget that their city is below sea level? Do we really need the president to tell them the answers to these questions? BTW, sitting next to someone is not the same as opening up your city to help and allowing your schools to bulge at the waistline to accomodate people in need....

Wait until you finish school and get a job and begin to pay taxes....then we'll see if your liberal ideals remain...we'll see if you like paying for everyone else....including the lazy. I know that I do not.

Exactly! When me and mine have to do without because of all the taxes I have to pay for lazy effing welfare breeders I get a little fired up! I have nothing against helping someone who is down and out ,but most of these people make a lifelong living out of bilking the system. You know me and my wife could go and have 10 kids so we can get a house from Habitat For Humanity, but we were raised better than that. HFH just put a house up in my town for some of these scum and they are driving an Escalade! I am not driving an Escalade and I work my ace off!

Either that or what until you own a buisness where people come in wanting to charge something. I work and my family owns buisnesses where people do that and now we have stopped giving credit. Its pathetic what people will do. JasonInAugusta, this is probably the best post on this site when it comes to stuff like this. I live in a small rural Kentucky town, so I see most of this stuff every day. The day I stop hunting will be the day I die. Im not going to let someone tell me I can and cant do something that I love when it is in the Constitution. You would be suprised how many people are on welfare when they are as able as anyone to go and get a job. When you go and mess with the Angry White Man, be ready for bad things to happen.

I just got done working on my taxes actually, and I do work, in addition to going to school full time and being in a fraternity. It's the only way I can stay active on campus and afford to go home on the weekends or party if I want too. Luckily I have enough scholarships to take care of my tuition and housing but I get to work for everything else.

The problem doesn't lie with the liberals, if anything you have Bush to thank for making it easier for them (illegal immigrants) to take advantage of public services, and he has them to thank in large part for him being elected. It's also not public services themselves that are at fault, it's the miss management of them.

My "liberal" ideals, (even if I have no plans to vote for Hillary) have done me well up to this point, and I intend to stick by them.

In any case no ones opinions really matter until voting starts, and IMO with the exception of Hillary and Huckabee we have a good group of candidates to choose from.

Haha. I didnt know illegal immigrants were now allowed to vote?
And yes, this is my major problem with the Republican party. I dont believe people who have broken the law should be given reprieve just to help out someone's pocket and make a cheaper product.

I see where your ideas are coming from....you like the idea of helping others because you are the "other." You have someone paying your way. Trust me though, those ideals will change. You should really look up that famous quote from Winston Churchill...

BTW, earlier, when I said "job" I meant a "career". Something that you intend to do for life. Something that you will use to support a family. When your family depends on you and your salary to survive, it will matter more than that "job" which pays for your drinking and buys you friends. When you have to start making sacrifices for your family to pay for others and their irresponsibility, you will think differently.

I don't remember anyone praising how the Katrina aftermath was handled.

What I do remember is how every level of Gov't failed. Ray Nagin failed, the Governer failed, everyone failed.

As a matter of fact every level of Gov't knew in advance what would happen. They had exercised the exact scenario and still failed.

The exercise was based on Hurricane Pam...Click here and here.

Our federal leadership is made up of about 545 people, executive branch both houses ect. I think they should all be replaced. I don't think debating GOP vs DFL makes any difference in fact it is pointless. Katrina is a perfect example of what we have become. That group of 545 leaders made no difference, offered no aid and little help when that great American city was distroyed because they can't agree on anything. Fire the bunch.

Chit Chat...hmmm oddly enough this sub-forum is based on our ability to discuss anything. No where in anything I had to agree to were the topic of religion or politics banned.
