You guys remind me why I don't have and don't want a wife. But girlfriends refuse to remain girlfriends forever!

Eh, it's not a bad thing. She helps me make less stupid money decisions, lol. I sure as hell wouldn't have had my shit together enough to buy a house a couple of years ago. The budgeting part has more to do with making sure my kids are taken care of than making sure my purchases are wife-approved. "thumbsup"

I'm a big kid and I like to spend money on myself so I don't have kids nor will I ever have them. I got a nephew to spoil! "thumbsup"

Dang it, I’ve got a TRX4 build that ain’t done yet and this comes along. Don’t really want another rig but love that K5 body. Couldn’t find a clear or anywhere but they’ve got the red painted one marked down to $60, couldn’t resist. Not a fan of red but ordered one before they’re gone too. Would LOVE to see them come out with that body style in a pickup.

Well I tried to pass on this too good to be true deal, I failed. I wanted this rig before I got my SCX10 II kit, but because I had 2 Axials already I went with it due to familiarity and plus I had batteries already. It didnt help that the LHS didn't have one either. I have been snooping around this board a lot due to my interest in the Ascender and since I found out about this I have been waffling on this purchase, till yesterday when I pulled pin at work. I found one back east at AMR that was in stock for $330 canadian with free shipping and only 1 tax got confirmation about shipping this morning so the wait is on. I do have a lot to read up on it as there are a pile of great informative threads from some great people here. :)

Does the kit come with a clear body or is it pre-painted in the blue/white? In the meantime, I picked up a spare pre-painted red/white body.

Mine was trimmed w/ mounting holes

My first Ascender came untrimmed and no holes but that one also had the old driveshafts and axle pinions. My second came trimmed and poked and I was upset because I don't use the rear body posts.

Yes, my Ascender came with an untrimmed body as well.

I bought two kits off amazon a while back when they were 329$ Canadian each. Finally started building one last week and i’m Beyond impressed with the quality. Going with my standard wp1080/traxxas 21t/gt3b/ds3216 combo. Not a huge Chevy guy so i’ll Probably only build one with the blazer body and do another with a traxxas bronco.
