General SCX24 Hop up experience/advice

@Shiggy Nice tip :D For my its more about how flexy the stock links are. Now that I have a second truck I'm trying out some other options/mods so I can mix with what I like best.

Anybody have a blue C-10 body that I can buy? I trimmed my arches back too much.

That stock steering link is the worst part of an SCX24 right behind the stock servo horn. That steering link has miles of play in it. And, if you're using those o-rings to take up the slop you're just adding friction in about the worst place you can add it.

The 1st upgrade to any SCX24 should be, in my opinion, a cheap properly fitting servo horn and the Hot Racing steering link. By far the best money you can spend on these rigs.

Edit: Also, if you remove that stock steering link, farm the ball screws off. You can use those to 4 link your front suspension with the extra links provided in the box. Snap those ball ends into the end of the link and screw them to the servo tray.

Neat tip. I actually just ordered up my third SCX24 lol. Basically went on a parts purchasing binge. Going to do a bunch of stuff see how it all works out. Trying out a MOFO Ugly AF chassis going to paint a betty body for because Oh Black Betty bambalam :D Going to see if brushless will work in the mofo chassis for the gigglies. Got some high clearance links, wheels, and OD for the front all from Treal. I have a set of high clearance links on my deadbolt that I had made that work a treat so curious how the treals will do.
