Jedi, CyberPunk, and Sim games are awesome. Been playing Dauntless on both the PC and Xbox, since it has cross save as well as cross play. It's a Fortnite version of Monster Hunter.

Free to play and really fun.

Just read thru this whole thread lol. My fundage wont allow for a new console, so im stuck with the ps3. Play alot of gta san andreas, nfs rivals, just got rd1 n love it. Sucks the ps2 games dont work on my ps3, i loved nfs carbin n most wanted on the ps2. Really love to get spintires mudrunner, but there again no ps4 ugh lol. But im more of an outdoors guy n here in bama, even winter time isnt all that cold most of the time. So i can tool around outside with my trucks. Really cold days n rainy days are my gaming days

Honestly if you wait you can get in on the next gen consoles. Late 2020 is when the PS5 and Xbox 2 is coming out. They are finally getting close to pc specs but not on the high end pc spec. I have been up to date on most new consoles and if I hadn't I would wait until next Sep-Nov to get one. No use in dropping a big amount now and then be behind next year.
 
So who is ready for the new AMD Ryzen powerplants? I for one am ready for the Ryzen 7 3700X to come out with the new RTX2070 Super GPU's. That is the setup that is going into the updated gaming rig. As of now I am running a I7 4700K and GTX760 FTW. Heck my laptop has better components in it. Plus I will be going with 32GB of 3600 RAM.

Let me know what you all run and think of the setup I'm building.

That look okay if you don't have a too high resolution screen, or urge to run really high in game grafix.

I am on threadripper myself and are on 32 Gb 3600 ram and shooting for 64 Gb as 32 have been the norm in the past 2 computers.
Still on a old 1060 GFX card as i am insecure about what to get of imminent GFX cards + i was forced by my old phone to spend money on a new one, so that also put a damper on buying new GFX card.

I really wanted my computer to be all AMD, but i am not sure thats the smartest thing to do, so stepping back for a while before i proceed with the running build.

I am picking up my new Powercolor 5700XT red devil tomorrow, along with a 3 month X box games pass ( whatever that is )

I assume it will let me sample a lot of those newer games i will not buy anyway as their game-play are not to my liking.

Got 500 GB of SSD storage ready for games,,,,,, not that it will host a great many of the new games as i hear some take up a lot of space.
But if push come to shove i also have 4 Tb of spinning free space.

Hope this will also help in the processing of 4K/60 video :mrgreen:
 
I've been plating Far Cry 4 (PS4) for months now... Not much of a shooting game guy, but this game is a ton of fun. 56 total hours invested, and only about 2/3 of the way through. Told myself I have to beat it fully before trying out FC5.

Also play Dirt4, Nascar Heat, and Uncharted... PC wise, I play Mudrunner quite a bit, and Railroad sims when I want to relax. :)
 
Picked up "Pure Rock Crawler" on Steam a few months ago, quite entertaining... doesn't really tax my last PC purchase (an nVidia RTX2060 video card) though!

Currently slaving away on World of Warcraft Classic. I'm really only waiting on Borderlands 3 at the moment.

Took them a long time to add more content, but it's definitely one of my favorite time-wasters now...
 
It’s been mostly gears of war 5, madden 20, and Fifa for me lately.

Considering the new modern warfare on Black Friday but on the fence. To anyone who has it, is it a complete remake of the other two modern warfares as far as multiplayer maps, weapons, and kill streaks? This being the 3rd time they’ve dropped a modern warfare I’m hesitant to go for it again.

I just finished it. Pretty good for a lower budget take. Wasn't too long, felt a lot like Fallout New Vegas in space. Dialogue was interesting but not great. Game play mechanics were okay but a little dated. All in all a fun game though and being included in gamepass it cost me nothing extra.

Meanwhile it looks like Fallout 76 is becoming and even bigger turd than originally. Glad I never spent a dime on it. I want good first person RPG's, not interested and all the MMO stuff.

Patiently awaiting the announcement from WB Games Montreal, hoping for another Batman game. I love the Arkham Universe.
