FMS ROC Atlas 6x6

So I used the 64T spur gear, and sure enough a 10t servo gear from an old HiTech MG worked for the motor side (with a little heat) Definite improvement though (ESC still has a little to be desired). Also upgraded the steering servo to an Adafruit HiTorque MG https://www.adafruit.com/product/2307. Then made my own brass bead lock weights by cutting down 3 of these brass bushings to about 10mm wide https://www.mcmaster.com/6381K221/ (remember to drill holes for air). For just a few bucks it elevated the functionality and fun factor "thumbsup"

Good ideas!

Has anyone body swapped one of these yet? Anyone aware of any options out there for it? I'm curious about the 6x6 but a variety of bodies is kind of a priority for me.

besides my amazing amateur wiring job, now I can see where its going to a degree, battery life I measured was over an hour and forty minutes, and stopped because it was taking awhile. added a 1400 mAh battery to the original 600 mAh because I thought the camera and transmitter would take more power. thinking of adding a different esc like that video someone posted on here showed and getting a slightly bigger motor, and adding a small signal booster to the transmitter to shorten the battery life and help it when it goes around buildings.

Cool. What kind of signal booster are you talking about?

I want to try to turn it into an M35A2 duece and a half, so I would like to look into body options too.

What HiTech MG model did you use?

Hi!

I´m new to crawling and this forum but just wanted to show my solution to the severe torque twist on the first rear axle. The axles twists in opposite directions and I didn´t like that... :)

Things change.

What do you need?

After a long time this seem to be the very first metal upgrade (oil?) shocks for those 1/18 Models by FMS, RocHobby, EazyRC, Hobby Plus (but the expensive red Hobby Plus metal upgrade shocks):

These look encouraging. I wonder how well they hold the oil.

Can anyone confirm that the Furitek monster truck pinion and ring gears work with the stock Atlas axles? I'm so tired of stripping these plastic gears that I'll pay $100 for a set of metal gears!

Yes, they use the same gears, but you'll need 4 sets. 1 for each axle is 3 sets and the 4th you'll need just for the pinion gear for the passthrough axle leaving you with an extra ring gear.
The gears are the same as most of the ring and pinion crawlers based on the ECX Barrage/FTX Outback/RGT Adventurer, HobbyPlus CR-24/CR-18, RocHobby Katana V1 with the red body and of course the Element Enduro24.
