They've done it again. They have turned out another jewel in their scale replica series, a 1958 to 1961 Land Rover Series II SWB (short wheelbase)...

https://www.fmshobby.com/products/fms-1-12-land-rover-series-ii-rtr

$199.99 at this time and free shipping since it is over $99.00. A bargain compared to the $299.99+ that the 1:12 Willys MB was at the time of release.
My only gripe so far is their continual re-use of the two-piece combat wheels of the Willys MB and the non-directional (and worthless) WWII tread.
By 1958 they had better all terrain tires. They re-used the Willys MB tires and wheels on their 1:12 Toyota FJ45 truck too. That's just being lazy.

All the usual bells and whistles similar to the 1:12 Willys MB; leaf spring suspension, scale axles, center transfer case with skid-plate, 2-speed transmission, full lighting kit with operating turn signals, operating steering wheel, opening doors/tailgate/hood, two roof options included, comes in your choice of 3 colors.

Full ball bearings for a more efficient transmission and drivetrain
Scale metal "C" channel frame.

Very nice and agreed, those tires/wheels are not period proper! The wheels are way to large diameter and therefore the tires sidewalls are too short! Rest of the truck is a beauty.

Found out that the model is not a true 1/12 (but are they ever, when they borrow parts from previous models?)

Measures out to 1/13.3 so a 6 inch figure (which corresponds to an average male height of 6 feet) is a bit too large but not extreme. Maybe that makes a 6 inch figure a 7 foot man in the scale..?

Wheels and tires aside that is a very good looking little rig!!

Any measurements on the seat and legroom spaces?
If its more 1/13.3 it should go well with the Tamiya trucks.
