This is the start to my Bully 2 build... Yes I know I'm behind the times a little but better late then never... At the beginning of this year I joined the RC4WD team... So I figured it's about time to switch from the XR axles I've been running for a while now... I'll be building this rig up to a roller and then I'll swap all the electronics from the XR to this truck...

For the chassis I will be running the new SuDu Mod 3D chassis from Dravtech... I've been running the SuDu Pro since it was in prototype stage and I've been very happy with it so I know I will really like this chassis from Dravtech...

Got the axles in a month or 2 ago... I really like the look of them... They feel very solid and have lots of great features. Very good for the price too... When I first got them I took them apart and thread locked the screws... Then I installed aluminum hardware where I could...

Got all of the CF Dravtech accessories for it today... As usual awesome parts from Tobias... I love the holes on the top of the axles for accessories like these "thumbsup"

Servo mount that puts the servo closer to the gear case so there's more room for the links and shocks

For weights I got these Carbon Fiber weight holders that work with the RCBros weights... Thanks Samu! I'll be using the Krazed Builds weight holders on them with the tungsten weights... With this I can get up to 3.1 oz (88g for you non US guys) per side up front and have most of it below the axle centerline...

Nice - did you have to shim them out to clear the button head?

Need some red dye now

Nah the CF weight holders were counter sunk so I flipped them and I'm using flat head screws now... Just used that picture cause it looks cool ;-) I'm thinking I'm going to stick with the white actually... White red and black should look pretty slick "thumbsup"

Looking good bud, nice start "thumbsup"

Will follow this build for sure. Looking good with the start! "thumbsup"

Well, Everett, you know where to ship those parts to...

Looking good so far Eve. Keep it up"thumbsup"

Looks good mate. Great work from Dravtech and a great opportunity for you to wheel this.

Thanks guys! Looking forward to this one... I'll have more updates as soon as my stuff from Shapeways comes... Hoping next week "thumbsup"

Got a very nice package in the mail today from Shapeways... First off parts for the SuDu Mod 3D chassis...

This chassis was very well thought out by Tobias and Douwe.. So many good options on it "thumbsup"

The chassis is made up of 3 3D printed parts... The skid, the front cage, and the rear cage... The front and rear cage both have aluminum inserts in all the holes so the screws can screw into the chassis without ever having to worry about getting stripped out... The skid is very impressive work... It is angled on the sides for the most clearance possible... The lower link mounts are angled so you get the best articulation from the lower links... Also inside the skid there are little tabs for zip ties to hold electronics in the chassis...

The chassis is very simple to put together... Very easy since every screw just goes into the inserts and you don't have to worry about and nuts anywhere on the chassis... The whole thing is very lightweight at about 43 grams... It feels like holding a feather but it still feels very very rigid... This thing is truly a work of art and I'm super excited to get it out on the rocks

Got a few other parts from Shapeways as well for this build... Got some 3D printed rear lockouts... It drops a little bit of weight not exactly sure how much but it's mostly just for looks "thumbsup" also put Gunnar hex pins on it so I don't have to worry about the stock ones which were a little bit short...

The rear axle is looking really good

The last thing was wheels for the build... I wanted something light, a little bit different, and that looked really nice... Tobias was kind enough to have the wheel centers made for it when he ordered his CF parts... Then I drew up some rings for it in CAD and had them made through Shapeways... They have the spacers built into them so all it takes is 5 screws from one side to hold them all together... I don't have a weight for them but they feel very light...

Wheels and chassis look Awesome!! That is going to be one sharp looking rig when it's all together. "thumbsup"

Realy great work from Tobias, now this chassis is an eyecatcher "thumbsup"
I hope it's stable enough for compcrawling,so these parts will have a great future

Looks great! I wish I had a 3D printer to pull off parts like that.
No need to have a 3d printer yourself...
All the parts are made in shapeways.com.
All you need is to design the parts and they will print and ship them to you!
And the quality is very good!!

The parts look awesome!!
Had a chance to see and hold the chassis during Eurocrawl. It's so light and rigid!

Chris like these guys said it's all from Shapeways... super easy to order stuff through them and there's lots of options for colors...

Well you know... Canada ... The name of the country tells it all...
Really hope you get yours soon... you took the best color!!!

Thanks guys! I keep getting more and more excited for this build as parts keep rolling in... Hopefully I will have it out on the rocks very soon "thumbsup"

LOL Douwe there's too many Orange ones

In case anyone is wondering it is red... it's hard to get the color right in the pictures without making the CF too dark...
