Custom M1088 6x6

Amazing work ! How does it handle on the trails ?

Thank you! Not really sure yet, I have driven the chassis on some easy terrain and it is in dire need of stiffer front springs and some shock tuning. It's fun to point it straight up and climb some things it shouldn't though!

Horry CHET!
This is coming along very nicely.
Can't wait to see it in July!

Cab floor and transmission tunnel came out beautiful. Threw some paint on them and just had to put the cage on to see what it will look like shortly! Grill, seats and dash will be printed tomorrow and then onto the big panels!

If you mean your winch, it does fit! Haven't installed it quite yet, will be one of the last pieces to go in.

Nice rig!

Can you tell us more about that "ROC412 HD" motor you have in there?

Thanks! It's a stretched version of the current ROC412. This one is a prototype, they will be available very soon!

Damn Ty, this is coming along very nicely! I'm really liking all the detail you put into your panels and under cab accessories like the air tanks, etc. Can't wait to see the cab on this, Axialfest this year? I hope so so I can see it in person. "thumbsup"

I'm really hoping to have the printing done in the next two weeks, then I can get all the lights wired up and put the finishing touches on it. I should be working on it this weekend!

This week has been good to us so far, got the dash bracket, dash, instrument cluster, steering column and all three seats printed, painted, detailed, assembled and mounted!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Today was another monumental day for the M1083 build. Got both door panels printed and cleaned up this weekend and the cab is officially mounted to the frame finally! We are just waiting on the roof to finish up and some polycarbonate sheet to show up for the windows. After that we will make some mirrors and take a look at printing the bumpers in a more flexible material as well as printing some bolt-on A pillars to replace the jagged ones we ended up with. I'm stoked, it's finally looking like a truck!

Looks great.

Thank you!

All this time and patience into building this beauty and you are going to drive it..., fool your crazy. Lol. Great job sir. "thumbsup"

Haha it'll get driven very carefully, more of a model than anything. Honestly it drives terrible right now, very top heavy, ride height is too high and suspension is too soft. Needs some swaybar action and shock tuning for sure!

Awesome work! Which printer are you using?

Thanks! It's a Fusion3 F400-S. Everything was printed in PLA and if we need to make some stronger parts we will likely use some kind of nylon bridge or similar.

That is incredible! I have wanted a 1:1 LMTV 4x4 for some time now. Love it!

"thumbsup" Me too! I'd love to buy an M1079 someday and turn it into a camping vehicle.

That explains the high quality! "thumbsup"

Incredible! Any chance to offering this for sale?

Thanks! No plans to monetize this project, it's over 200 custom parts and a couple hundred hours of print time alone. Machine time and material would make it extremely expensive and that's just for the body. We've used about 25kg of filament on this project so far and have a box of early revision and failed parts. I lost count of how many hours I have into test fitting and assembling it so far, but I know it's a lot! I'm not even the one designing it, that's all Zak and I know he's got a lot of hours into drawing it.
