Crew Cab Clod Vuck (Van + Truck = Vuck)

Small progress update. I started on the lines and rivets. I drew them out in sharpie to start with, then laid down some "rivets" using CA glue. Since this pic I have taped off the lines and started doing them in flat black. Once I clear over it all the Sharpie should blead just a little giving a shadow effect on the paint...I hope.

Wow that's some major tweaking there for me anyway went cross eyed just looking at them rivets lol

I got the body and paint work done finally. This thing turned out great in my opinion.

Tape session...

I taped all of the lines in one direction, sprayed them black and then switched up the tape to go the other direction.

Started the decal work...Some are vinyl and some are water slide.

Then I taped it off and laid down some flat Drab Olive Green.

Last but not least was clear coat, a few bullet holes and a textured bronze bed liner.

Next up, a long trip to Ohio to the home of a Guru, Derrick Johnson.

Wonder what if you went monster truck with this baby? Clodbuster tires & wheels and maybe a Crawford performance chassis you can get the aluminum chassis kit that is all set up for axail wraith parts I think there around a 100.00 bucks with links or make one guess you could use Harleys mud truck conversion with clod tires might really go look cool with this over the top theme like I said before your more then welcome to tell me were to go LOL. Oh by the way great paint work to my RC friend

No worries man "thumbsup". You got to admit, I think I pulled off the fender exhaust pretty well . I think it's going C2 actually, not sure on that yet. It's headed to Ohio to a new owner in a few days.

That is the most creative slice and dice job I have seen. What an awesome build. Very creative.......like "Ugsome" (ugly+awesome) in a good way!

Great job, Hoosier! Paint and detail turned out well! "thumbsup""thumbsup"
Thanks Mike. I'm very pleased with the outcome as well. I can't wait to see this thing built.

clearly you must have mistakenly said Ohio instead of Wisconsin :lmao: that body would be right at home on my rig :lmao::ror:

I see you sold the Vuck.....lucky new owner has a base for something truly unique to build on! BTW, is there a build thread on the tilt front end, blown Blazer in your early post? That is a killer looking 2wd looking build.

Very nice work there. I look at a lot of your work and my guess is that the same old same old is getting boring to you. Nice thinking out of the box. Like an old school top kick , call it the drop kick.

Build thread on the Blazer is in the Non-crawler RC section, pg 2, about 5 threads down"thumbsup"

I thought you weren't doing any bodies right now?!? Either way, incredible body work, and the paint work is even better.

Wes

Yup, I built it for myself and it sold before I was even 25% done. The Blazer may be going up for sale very soon btw.

Thanks, It's my favorite paint job and body to date as well.

Once again your skills awe me. Awesome job bra. Any pix of the body on its now chassis?
Yup

Boss man boss. That rig is almost as sexy as your K5s you've done. I give prop to the guy who has it now. But it need a front bumper maybe a stinger.

Yup. Its getting a full interior with a roll cage and a exo. I think he was going to keep the exo subtle and maybe do the interior roll cage in yellow to make it pop. It'll get the full treatment either way.
