Crawler Innovations reviews (and by review CI means that we show you what the tires do on the rocks, not talk about them) the new RC4WD 2.2 Bully Competition Tire for RC Rock Crawlers of the competition flavor. By referencing "comp" it means that the rc rock crawler is not scale to a 1:1 rock crawler; it means the rc rock crawler vehicle is designed for all out performance within the class rules it competes in.

In this video, Crawler Innovations is using three different trucks, built to USRCCA 2.2 Pro and 2.2 Shafty specifications. Each truck has a build thread linked to it below;

First truck in video is a 2.2 Shafty:

2nd Truck featured is 2.2 Pro, Y Town Crawlers Double Agent XR-10;
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial-xr10/501727-crawler-innovations;-y-town-double-agent-xr10.html

3rd Truck featured is 2.2 Pro, Y Town Crawlers Secret Agent XR-10;
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial-xr10/335709-crawler-innovations-xr-10-build.html

All of the tires, foams, and wheels used in this video are off the shelf parts and unmodified. Anyone can purchase these parts. There will be a full write on RCCrawler - News, Reviews, Videos and much more! in the tires and wheels section. I'll try to link back to it here once it's posted on RCC. All trucks used Crawler Innovations 6 Bolt Wheels that use Vanquish Products SLW hubs, all trucks used Crawler Innovations Double Deuce Foams in one flavor or another.

In search of new challenges and fresh terrain, Crawler Innovations hit the road during the summer of 2015 and one of our first stops was Big Bend Ranch State Park in South West Texas. The park has over 300,000 acres with only 50 camp sites. CI had an amazing time at the park and this video was filmed there. Link to State Park:

East Texas Radio Control Crawlers (ETXRCC) held a G6 on a club members land in Buffalo, Texas in October of 2015. The location was great with varying kinds of terrain. Some of the members weren't interested in the G6, so we made a simple track for some Ultra4 off-road RC practice.

This video is a compilation of footage from that day and it covers a number of different RC vehicles. Most of them have build threads on the RCCrawler forum and there are links below:

Back from the Szczerba Built Garage with new steel front and rear bumpers, steel rock sliders, and steel bed roll cage. Crawler Innovations added the Vanquish Products KMC 1.9 XD127 Black bead lock wheel with Vanquish Products XD KMC Center Caps. The tires are Pitbull Tires 1.9 Mad Beasts that have been hand sanded, grooved, and lugs removed in order to make the tire as soft as possible by Crawler Innovations.

Front Foams are part # CWR-2025; 4.50" Lil' Nova Comp Cut Inners with Medium Outers.

Rear Foams are part # CWR-3004; Deuce's Wild 1.9 Mad Beast Foams.

CI acquired this nicely detailed RC4WD Gelande 2 in a trade. It arrived with 1.9 steel bead lock rims, 1.9 RC4WD Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires that were sealed with stock RC4WD foams and air in the tire. Originally the plan was to do a short video series on the truck, adding foams first, and then maybe a few other mods. However, the front 3rd member became loose, causing the ring and pinion mesh to slip. The gelande was parked on a shelf, and in a night of marathon building, this truck was parted out to bring life to three other creations. So there may or may not be a follow up video with the gelande since it's currently a roller in the shop.

This entire video is a Gavin production. He drove the gelande, captured all the film footage, then edited and assembled this video. Music is by Gramatik. Filmed at the Crawler Innovations compound.

In search of new challenges and fresh terrain, Crawler Innovations hit the road during the summer of 2015. One of our stops was White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. White Sands National Monument is a U.S. National Monument located about 16 miles southwest of Alamogordo in western Otero County and northeastern Doña Ana County in the state of New Mexico, at an elevation of 4,235 feet. CI had an amazing time at the park and this video was filmed there.

This particular video features only three different Crawler Innovations vehicles. Up first is the CI AR60 based Monster truck. Here is a build thread for the vehicle:
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axia...tions-ar60-monster-truck-basher-test-rig.html

Next is an Axial Yeti with open front diff. It's build thread is here:
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial-yeti/547506-crawler-innovations-yeti-1-yeti-2-a.html

The final vehicle in the video is the CI Foffer and it's the last video of this truck in that form. After the trip the truck was completely disassembled and an all new car is being built to replace it. The build thread for the CI Foffer is here:
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/form...r-innovations-water-skippin-foffer-build.html

All three vehicles in the video are using Crawler Innovations 6 Bolt Wheels in the 1.50" Width using Vanquish Products SLW aluminum hubs. The video shows how durable the plastic wheels are. CWR-5004 is the part # for the wheels.

All three vehicles are using Crawler Innovations foams. The Monster Truck is using 6.0 Double Deuce, the yeti is using Deuce's Wild 2.2 Tall, and the Foffer is using a soon to be released new Deuce's Wild size.

Vanquish Products produces a licensed Currie Enterprises F9 axle set. The fit, finish and quality of Vanquish Products is 2nd to none in the remote control hobby. After several years of use, Gavin's plastic front Axial SCX axle housing had cracked beyond repair. It was time to upgrade. Having already owned the little 1.9 Toyota Truggy for many years, strength and durability were most important. The Vanquish Products axle design is superior because it uses a larger pinon bearing inside the axle case to handle more load. The VP axle design also fully captures the carrier bearings for strength and gear mesh. Currently VP does not offer a 3 link for the front axle, so Crawler Innovations improvised our own for this build.

The tires are 1.9 Pitbull Tires Rock Beast and each tire has 3 breather holes. Without breather holes in the tire, the tire will not conform for traction. The closed cell foams sold by Crawler Innovations do not absorb water, they actually displace water. They basically seal whichever breather hole is on the ground, while the open holes allow for air movement and tire conformity. The foams are Crawler Innovations brand, Lil' Nova 4.50" dual stage Comp Cut; part # CWR-2025 front; CWR-2026 rear, medium outer front and firm outer rear since this trucks weighs 9 pounds 10 ounces RTR.

Here is a peak inside the Crawler Innovations compound at two of our test tracks. Gavin created both tracks. The first track with the long straight away is our primary short course style track. In the beginning of the video you can see a 1:10 Associated SC10 on the car trailer for a size / scale reference. The track on the left of the large oak tree, that extends to the fence is our ultra 4 test track.
