colorado springs weekly comps/trail runs?

I know a few of us have micros, maybe we could have an obstacle course or mini course set up for them. A third class would probably bring in a few more toys.

Just finished putting a 12 turn in the poison spider and got the droop on it plus I think the battery I had in my other one is shot

thanx for the hr shocks arbitris!

Soco rc raceway is ready for track development. Just finished up the paint and am ready for jumps and berms. Anyone that wants to come over Friday night around six to help out give me a like. Don't forget the minis. Plenty of test time in development stage. Maybe we can organize a little for the comp too. Couple of pics of the progress

Nah just took the springs out and put some oil in not much just a bit

sent from my 5th scale
I would probably add rubber bump stops on the bottom of the shock, if you drive this like I would, all the bumps will be a solid hit on shock mounting points, and likely start causing damage to the axle mounting points. I'm also curious to see how those shocks handle the oil (if it leaks out) this is actually really close to the idea I had when picking out those shocks.

Tony: unless something comes up, I should be able to bring toys and help test and work on the track.

Also, I talked to losi support today, and there are tons of threads about people with questions on the losi 1/24 setups, and very few answers.

First, no they won't send stickers to help support our toys for tots gtg. (Lol)
The brushless ESC DOES have a built in lvc that will auto activate when you plug it into the 2s or 3s lipo packs.
The 1/24 2s and 3s batteries and chargers do NOT have overcharge or balance protection, so when you use them, make sure you use the battery until it cuts off and then only charge it for the time listed on the pack/charger instructions.

Right, also the original cars had heat issues with the motor/pinion gear, most modern models have a brass pinion gear so you shouldn't have to address those issues. (Mine has metal pinion)

Dannan, I put a 750mah 4cell NiMH in my trekker and I get well over an hour out of it between charges. I don't think it has a metal pinion (mine didn't) I would be careful with the battery pack if you have it on sequence instead of parallel.

Unless I get trumped, the only date thrown out is the 14th of December....I would be stoked if we get 35 people to show up

Your the event coordinator. You pick the day and get the caretakers approval set it in stone and we will do our best to throw a fun comp. should be enough time to get something together. Next year we will start a little earlier in the year and make a huge event. I'm all for making it an annual club event and make it bigger every year. Toys for tots is a great charity. I volunteer for a couple charities a year one of them is for toys for tots. Good feeling in your heart to see a kid get toys for christmas even though mom and dad might be going through financial issues.

I know the kyosho mini z is 1/24 and has a pretty big following, it might be worth checking into their parts and upgrades to see if any of their powerplants are budget friendly.

Oh and another note, with the stock receiver every time you switch from one vehicle to the other you will have to re-bind. Its not hard to do, just annoying.
