colorado springs weekly comps/trail runs?

Man I've had a productive week, got the rear fender on my bike ready for final prep and paint, rebuilt the carb in my Jeep, and this morning picked up some more steel and started what I want to be a ground up custom build.
(with all the welders in the group, I'm surprised I'm the first)

I have a few parts collected too "thumbsup"

Freehand 3d steel bending is hard.
And fun.

Don't worry, I'm starting to draw up a blue print for a trailer to haul the wraith behind the scx. Probably build a couple as long as I'm in school to sell. Who would be interested?

While I'm at it, does anybody have a set of axles they are okay with parting with? I would prefer wraith axles.

I would be interested in a trailer build, although I don't really want to own one so it would be easier for me to justify investing in parts and labor if someone wanted to buy a homebuilt trailer after I made my entry.

I have scx axles. I used the wraith axles. :)

Almost completed the "Spare Wraith" today. Need to work out the stupid STRC sterring link and swap the receiver in. looks like the little guy will be trading up his Ridgecrest for a wraith this weekend. IF dad can get off his butt and finish.

Need a way to hold the battery in place up front. Any ideas?

Have you tried a battery tray?

I built a plate to relocate the battery under the hood in the front. I normally use Velcro straps but I'm out if them right now. Just looking for alternatives.

Update: got the wraith running and we managed to break both his and mine in 30 minutes at Palmer Park this afternoon. Sigh, never ending fun!

Some of you have asked.."Hey do you got a real rig or 1:1" why yes, yes I do...

This was the start of keeping her out of the crusher...I had to save her!

A year or so later and lots of love..."thumbsup"

She's been sidelined for a little with a snapped rear axle shaft...weak Dana27...gotta find some time and $$$ to fab in my Dana44s.

Some of you also know I like to go a little quick...

Taking care of business at Bandimere...best to date is a 11.5 @ 128....with a pussfactor 60' time of 1.9sec....car should do a solid high 10..i like my transfer case on the car tho lol. Last dyno pull was 450hp/425tq...this was with a smaller turbo. Bigger turbo now with same boost should be around 475....next summer the boost goes up to 35 from 26psi...soooo yeah it should be a little quicker.

Work hard play hard is my moto...."thumbsup"

Some carnage shots from today.
First run on the HR wheels and one of them snapped clear off.
The Porsche body is not really repairable. And as thin as it was the first run pretty much showed it wasn't going to live long, so I just went ahead and bashed it until it died.
