colorado springs weekly comps/trail runs?

here are the metal rods. The kit came with the chubs as well. But the long rod is completely solid. With no way to connect the shorter rod and longer rod together.
 
I wish I had the patience and ability to do that. Good job. Does it really make that much of a difference to justify the time and effort?

Ill find out this weekend i was running no foams and sidhilling was more challenging and these foams were stiff so i want as much flex in the tire as possible i just wanted sidewall strength
 
Connect it to the "drivers" side instead of the "passengers" side, Here is a pic that should help, and also show how they are connected on the ends.
