Colorado Rally Championship 2012

Got to make sure. But most likely Jax, Riley and myself. The boys TT and me TT and rally.

anything we can do to help?

Not really... car, radio, electronics, batteries...it's all there ready to go. Just get dates and prior commitments crossed up. It happens to me all the time.

Colton has his 1st basketball game Saturday at 12:30 out here in Brighton. I can play with toy cars and trucks another day.

Thanks for asking Van"thumbsup" I'm super bummed, but exited to see my boy play ball with his team.

Sorry to hear you won't be there but boy do I understand..... Watching your kids play sports is always more important than toy trucks"thumbsup"

I'm in as long as it is not a mud pit. I know it's rally and all but it's not worth the chance of loosing electronics. Yea, yea, I know that I can protect them, but I seem to have bad luck either way so I wont chance it.

In for rally and TT.

I understand Todd, After shoveling the little bit that was out there yesterday and the 60 degree weather we had today I highly doubt it will be muddy at all. Rodney and I are planning on checking the track out tomorrow and we will give you guys the track conditions."thumbsup"

Thats a bummer! Have fun watching the kiddo.

I'm really hoping that it'll dry out. I know at work today I was walking through tons of mud and it's out in direct sunlight all day. I'll be there either way, weather taking part in the fun or taking pictures of the fun!

well got my chassis and everything for my rally racer. unfortunatly the velinion i was gonna use for this weekend has a messed up ESC so i had to use a brushed motor. but it is still pretty fast and is geared for more speed so i can try and keep up. im just posting this pic so i make sure that this car is rally legal for this race. the tires sit flush with the width of the fenders. the person i got it from didnt give me the hexes for it and i had to use my own which put the wheels out a little further than i wanted but it looks pretty rally if you ask me.

it looks pretty close to spec.....but the wheels do peek a bit....so ill be bringing this..free of charge...even has the protective wrap on it!

At HOON 470 torque is way more important then speed. Also remember the way double elimination bracket racing works you can sometimes do 4 or 5 races in a row, make sure your electronics are not getting too hot. HOON 470 is a tight track with several hairpins and a lot of tight corners, event the brave drivers seldom go faster then 10-15mph. So speed really isn't that important.

As for the body as long as the tires do no stick outside the wheel wells its fine. Its hard to tell in the photos, some of them look fine while another looks really wide.

we will see how acurate that is.... im rocking it stock all across the board... i hate to replace electronics unless i fry em... and yes - it migth just be a goal on the TT - we will see what happens. Cant wait to see the boys again and have a good time! Any further recomendations?

Sweet thanks van. Hopefully this body will do cause i tool the time to sticker it last night haha. But i did some testing todat before work and there is something up with that chassis so ill be using my sprint 2 tomorrow at the event. Ill even have my brushless in it with my fans so it can stay cool. Now that its on the sprint 2 the wheels are in the body fully now. A couple questions for me and my friend ryan (rkilday719) for tomorrow. Where is the event. As in like at someones house, a park,?? Will we be close to food and bathrooms cause coming from the springs im sure mid event we will be hungry and stuff. Thanks in advance guys!

Google maps coordinates:

Park on Soda Lakes Road. There is a convience store right across the street at Rooney Road and Morrison Rd. You can see it in the picture.
It is a little bit of a hike along a path from the parking spot to the track. Not a big deal but make your tools and stuff mobile. I consolidate the tools and parts I need and put them in a backpack. The rest stays in the truck in case I need it I can run back there.
