chimera project : bodyless Cr01

Hello,

I haven't been there in a while, been pretty busy theses last months and didn't have time to spend on the Chimera Project.

As a result i have 3mm delrin sheets, 6 mm delrin rods and an R2 tranny with dig collecting dust on my workbench; i made a few sketches for an improved version of the chassis using the new transmission, but just couldn't find time to build it .

Schedule is going to be hectic for at least another month and a half; but i hopefully will post here the future results of my experiments to come .

To answer your question Karel, the rig was built with the Us comp legal wheelbase in mind; that is 31.8 cm; and so will the next one !

To be continued ...

Nice job ! I enjoyed watching the video and seeing how stable it was on the rocks... very impressive. For some reason the way it moves, it reminds me of a jumping spider ! It's funny, with my new career choice in the aircraft industry I keep trying to find things I can make out of aluminum. I keep forgetting about my pastics stash from my previous job. I think I may raid it and see what I can make. "thumbsup"

Thanks for your comment, homemade is the way to go in my opinion!

Besides, if you already have the material, and some time to spare, the only limit is your imagination...

See ya !

I'm not even a Tamiya fan, but wow, you've really made this your own. I watched all the video's with much interest.

It's nice to see someone who isn't afraid to experiment with suspension setup and chassis design. Keep up the good work.
