Any newish crawling locations that I haven't heard of yet? I'm aware of the following:

Quarry Trails Metro Park - Dublin
"Under the Bridge" Park - Dublin
Rose Run Park - New Albany
Glen Echo Park - Clintonville
Pine Quarry Park - Reynoldsburg
Griggs Dam - Dublin
Glick Park - Dublin
Creekside Park - Gahanna
Rising Park - Lancaster

What am I missing? Are there any other niche spots that I haven't heard of?

I haven't lived there for a long time but I wonder if there might be some good spots around Alum Creek Reservoir and maybe up around Delaware Lake/ Dam. I would guess too that there might be some scenic places along the Olentangy between Cols and Delaware or maybe along the Scioto River around O'Shaughnessy Dam/ the zoo. Sorry if I'm muddying your thread... just some possible suggestions.

No you're fine! Yes, Glick Park is the O'Shaugnessy Dam, while the area around there is ripe with potential crawling spots, there's actually a concrete pad near the bottom of the dam where they dumped a bunch of rocks and then extra concrete over them and it is actually a really cool little crawling spot. Not sure the purpose of the pile...if it's just excess construction waste. I saw almost the same thing at Griggs Park which is also on the Scioto further down from O'Shaughnessy/Glick.

I have earmarked Alum Creek Reservoir as a place of interest, there looks to be some potential spots on Google Maps, but I haven't been there since I got my truck to actually check it out in person. A friend of mine did go there and tried the rocks that align the "levee mound" around the dam, but the rocks were too big to crawl around on easily.

Ah... Back in the day if we were at Alum Creek it was usually on the east side ( Westerville side) of the reservoir... a lot of places that had rock/ trail areas that were public and accessible... along Africa Rd between Cheshire Rd and Lewis Center. Not sure what that area looks like now although I likely wouldn't recognize it lol. I wonder if Highbanks Park might also hold some possibilities.

Fwiw I grew up just south of Delaware off of 315 right on the Olentangy River. At least back then there was a good deal of land that offered RC crawler- friendly terrain. Good luck and if you ever get out and take some pics, I'd love to see em.

Honey Run east of Mount Vernon on 36. Nice waterfall for some water adventures. Good trailing too. Also had nice climbing rocks.

Also Delaware Dam has some nice rocks to do some technical crawling.

I'll check that area out!

I wasn't too sure about Metro Parks...at least those with active rangers. I know I've had no issues at all at Quarry Trails (new park in Dublin) and have had at least three rangers drive past with no issues. But I've been to places like Blendon Woods before and gotten some serious side-eye. I wasn't sure how many parks consider it "destructive" to the nature. I know Blendon Woods they have signs stating not to venture off the path so as not to destroy nature.

BMOW71 I've always known you were somewhere in Ohio! Every post in your mini garage I've seen your Ohio license plate. :D Thanks, I'll check those areas out too! For Honey Run, how far out from the main parking lot is it?

That's the issue with some of these places, I've seen videos of places in Columbus but have no idea how folks got there from the parking lot 🤣

I normally drive my rigs from the parking lot. The waterfall is just a short walk down the main trail to the south. More rocks and hill climbing if you go straight in and to the left. More rocks straight in back by the river.

Another place I’ve been to recently is the Quarry Park in Marion Ohio. A BMX club has trails in their and there are trails that go around the top ledges above the lake.
