Castle Creations ESC tip thread(brushed)

Hi, I have been running dual sidewinder micros with t45 motors works fine, but I want to try t35 hand wound motors. Will the sidewinder micros still work without overheating? I use a 1300 mah lipo battery. Thanks,

I am currently running dual Sidewinder Micro Pro's on 3S LiPO with 35T handwounds on them. No issues in ~1 year of running in a 2.2 comp rig.
You should be fine.

Hi!
I have just bought 2* Sidewinder micro and 2* HH Torquemaster.
When i calibrate them on my MOA the motors go realy slow in reverse.
I have been searching for the issue but did not find anything.
Either i suck at searching or there is not any issue like mine (Which i doubt)
Hopefully there is a quick fix to my problem.
BTW i use the latest firmware (shall i downgrade?)

Check the programming. It's probable that the ESCs are programmed to limit reverse power.

Sidewinder Micro's do have an adjustable reverse limit. Sounds like this is whats going on with yours. Throw it on a CC link and check the settings. If the reverse isn't set to 100% then adjust it there and test the rig again "thumbsup"

Thanks i found it.

I wired up some new Sidewinder Micros in my XR:

I am having troubles getting them to calibrate. When going through the castle calibration process, all I get is flashing green and yellow lights (consecutively and continuously) as soon as I begin the process. If I just plug a battery in like normal, the ESCs will arm....but, obviously, the throttle acts weird. I've tried a new Rx with no differences. They connect to the castle link and I am able to make any changes I'd like.

Any ideas?

Well, the newest version (1.39 I believe) wouldn't even begin calibration, so I don't see how it would be good for any faction of RC.

I have 2 micro sidewinder's and a bec with a 4pl on a Moa. Works fine with red esc wires plugged in the receiver. Should I pull red wires and heatshrink the pins? It works just fine both ways. Castle says I can keep them plugged in, but I'm afraid of frying something. (I used the search function and would love input from an experienced user). Thanks.

Last year I was running a mamba 25 with a brushless outrunner in one of my rigs and I updated to firmware v1.25(I think) and it was nothing but problems reverse was slow and had to double tap to get it to go into reverse, even tho I had it set forward to brake to reverse. Drag brake was non existing. I hooked it back up to the castle link and tried to go back to v1.24 but the problems still existed. I'm not sure if the update did something to the software that couldn't be undone or what. To fix the problem I switched to my spare installed v1.24 only and everything was peachy after that. Sold the other esc to someone to someone to run in a mini T. They had no problems with it in forward only. Has anyone else run into a problem like this?

.

I've just run into this same problem on my micro sidewinders. Hd perfect dig before I did the update and now with the new firmware the dig brake on the rear is very soft and I get wheel spin from the rear during front dig

Sorry to dig up an oldie guys, but i'm dyin' here ...

Where are you guys finding the v1.24 file? I can't seem to find one. My software (v3.56.21) only shows options to go back as far as v1.39.

I've tried entering a direct url by swapping the version number but that doesn't seem to work either, no matter how many ways I try to type it.

This non-existent drag brake is really turning this esc into a paperweight, even with an Axial 55t motor.

Anyone got any mirror links or something please?
