and i have to think about a swaybar in the rear. the massive overdirve gives some rolling in sidehills

i also think about to use a fixed capra frontaxle in the rear with some toe out for better cornering
 
good weight now. so i can finish under 3k

rules also no visible electronics and a must of interior and driver. so i build in the batterietray on the left side to place the akku beside the tranny without issues

happy about the new savöx monster servo.
50k power and 0.13ms fast. i will use it at 7.4V together with the 20k winchservo on a 10A

racing in central europe is much different from usa. our courses are very very slow crawl addicted with a little bit more winching than driving. lol.

here is my old car. a 6.3 lbs. cfk rig on a master V3 frame with twin hammers shell. the frontaxle weights 2.2lbs

today i swapped the front links out for shorter ones.
now the front is 1cm shorter. the old links had a shitty weight of 83gr. now i have 40gr. the upper links are SSD panard links, so no more hitting the batterie tray

Why would you add mass to the steering knuckles then worry that the suspension links are too heavy? Both items contribute to unsprung mass so would aid tyre adhesion.

CG ..... increase the weight below the axle center, decrease the weight above the axle center.
 
the overdrive with the ax10 diff was to heavy.

so i went to a SSD diamond housing with steelpipes, yeah racing c-hubs, SSD portals 16/14, DC diff and SSD steel spool, TFL servo mount.

first i tryed axial rr10 linkmounts to mount the dampers on the axle. fitting well but makes the car in the front to high. then i took samix brass ar44 linkmounts

full mounted axle weights now 450gr.
with better wheels i can add 150gr knuckleweights per side more than now.

i used old titanium links for steering, there is much to improve

SSD portals are switchable from over to underdrive

i took the underdrive with 14/16 this is a ratio of 1.14:1*

the capra portal have 12/23 this is a ratio of 1.92:1

1.14 × 100 / 1.92 = 59.4% overdrive
 
A lot of work, and pretty darn cool."thumbsup" That said, with what's left of the original Capra, you may as well have started from scratch!:lmao:
