this build is for the Class 3 CISE standard for the austrian scale team series

i swaped the useless bad dig against a much lighter AX10 tranny with 48dp on a 2000kV yellow jacket outrunner

attached the element dampers in a good angle

i swapped the front axle to a centerpumpkin for a longer axle itself for better driving in the curves and also producing 45.3% overdrive, also 72° steering angle now

Other than (very minorly) lowering the CoG, what does mounting the shocks upside down do? Seriously, does it actually make any noticable difference?

He's using Element Enduro (Team Associated) 90mm shocks, which are some of the best shocks out there, not known for leaking - but the shock caps are shaped differently - might be why he flipped them.

I dunno... ;-)

Looks like you're gonna be running this thing pretty hardcore, I look forward to the pictures of the events. BUT, I have to object:
i swaped the useless bad dig

The Capra dig is not "useless" nor really that bad, but as for the trans itself it certainly could use more gearing.

Just checked them out. Since you can't but the shocks complete...not even as a kit...the parts have to be purchased separately. Work 2pr of medium-soft springs, plus 1pr of medium springs, that comes to $162 for a full set of 4 shocks...ouch. Of course, 4 Pit Bull BDS Kronik shocks would come to $180, so I guess $162 is a "deal".

the capra dig is more bad than the wraith one. you can file down the sharp corners on the capra dig claws for better working. but i don't need a dig, reverse driving gives no penalty here

my enduro shocks got AE green slime, no problems with leaking. i just wanted the minimal advantage of lower weight. the springs will be changed soonish, i want a much softer setup

the upper links toughing in rear and front. i have to dremel out the tubeframe and battery tray

some of my buddys broke the capra links already. all at the and of the rodend.

next step is to shorten the links in the front for 1cm

I see you cut the rear cage. At First shocked, more and more I look at it, not bad a Mod, at all. Just need to have the courage to do the first cut. I like the CF wheels, as well.

thank you sir

today i swapped the front links out for shorter ones.
now the front is 1cm shorter. the old links had a shitty weight of 83gr. now i have 40gr. the upper links are SSD panard links, so no more hitting the batterie tray

838486-20191021-161750-jpg

like the old ax10 i changed the lower links to outside and the shock to inside, so i have a little bit more space for steering

838487-20191021-163505-jpg

next i have to shorten the front kardan to 90mm for testing. i have to use cheap chinese ones, my MiPs don't like the shitty working angle

838580-20191021-181800-jpg

tomorrow i will test the overdrive. i fear it is way to much. than i want to change the front axle to a SSD pro44 diamond with portals

i will also tummy tuck the rollcage and move the skid 1cm to the front
